Do you tend to buy a physical game or download it?

Digital, always. Only time I've bought physical recently was because EA games aren't on Steam/Impulse for UK customers. Saying that, I registered the serial with EA's download manager, so it's available for digital download now :)

I always like to get physical copy because If I dont like it I can sell it on, Digital downloads on indie games is fine imo, or on a portable console. DS or PSP games for digital downloads as I nearly always keep portable games as I only buy AAA titles for my DS/PSP :D.

Console and PC is 90% Physical or if it's really cheap it'll be a download (Steam weekend deal)

It depends on price for me, and DRM. The main appeal of buying a physical game for me is that I can sell it on when I'm done with it. If a game's DRM restricts me from doing this then I'll download it to allow me to play without the disc in.

DD is so quick and easy, I just love having a game store in my house. Plus auto patching is a god send.

However
, I can't help but feel DD is missing some of the charm of physical media. I know it's irrational, but it's exactly like when people say buying an album used to be an experience not just for the tracks.

I remember buying the big old boxes and reading the manual in the car on the way home, and on the loo! That fresh game smell, drink it in.

Don't tell me :(

Man those were the days xD. I LOVED those big boxes, with all the odds and sods :D.

Nowdays the manuals are pitiful and dont have the same "geekihood" to them.

I prefer physical copies - I like to have something to show for my purchase (and also whatever pretty pictures are on the box), although if a download was much cheaper then I would probably get that instead.

I prefer buying physical copies as you can actually see and appreciate what you've bought and I like having the manuals for reference.
