u can still get moved to if your with your mates dont get it twisted LOL. u needs mates that will back you. ive seen grunger skater kids get mugged by 2 black youths. when there is like 5 of them.

Nice tip from someone. tell them ur HIV+... im gessing that would deter a few atackers.

Sorry to hear that, i try not to go out much because of the idiots like that roaming the streets. I hope your doing okay, i had that happen to a friend and he got compensation which might help.

Yeah, why not slash your wrists with your house keys and aim your bleeding wrist arteries at them as you say it? Sounds like a great tactic.

Being mugged is nasty as hell. Been there, didnt like it. Wasnt even worth calling the police. They came round, scooped me of the pavement and took me to hospital for xrays and whatnot. Some police photo woman came round and took shots of me etc.

They had the people clearly on CCTV and there were eyewitnesses. They caught the fellow as he was running away. He was caught beating someone else up again, even more severely than me, but apparently the CPS didn't think it was worth pursuing.

I've never been mugged (thats what comes from living in a village with no social life for anyone aged under 35), but it sounds horrid, I hope those ruffians get what they deserve!

I got mugged when i was a bit younger, was about 15.. I couldn't run due to a knee ligament injury, and there was a fair few of them (6+) so I did what I thought was best at the time, and curled up into a ball. Probably the worst idea to have, but they left me alone, with my phone still in my pocket.

This is what happened to me. I was coming back from school years back got asked for a fag then my phone then he punched me. I kicked him in the balls in retaliation. I got a cut face and black eye. Called the police and he was charged and got fined. I didnt see any money from him being fined so it goes to the government or whatever at my expense. And the best part was he didnt have a job so the fine came from benefits which is coming from all the tax payers. Excellent!
Oh and the above attack took place on my house path. I was a few feet from my door.

Sure it's a good fitness exercise and discipline - but for it to be useful against several people you've got to be kidding yourself. i mean there is people i know. that are hood and streetwise and they still get mugged by other guys in different areas. why cause they just waiting for you to be slipping(caugh off guard) so they take your ****.

to be honest i found that offensive to the OP. telling him to be streetwise as if he is some recluse and doesnt know what happens in london. he is 16 and lives in london. im sure he knows whats what. if your a teenager in london, you are pretty much more streetwise than an adult and more likely know the bad kids. because last time i checked the people that got happy slapped wernt kids. they were adults on public transports and it was the kids dishing them out. so how comes the adults wernt streetwise then

You shouldn't take offense on other people's behalf, it's a bit silly - I'm sure the OP can fight his own battle on a forum

I agree Streatham, some parts of Camberwell, Peckham and a tiny area of Brixton (where teh run down estates are) aren't so pleasant, but I used to go out in all these areas as a teenager and never had a problem - but we used our noggin - didn't go down strange quiet roads, kept in public places, and when it got late we made sure we left. I guess times have changed.

Getting mugged is a horrible experience.

Couple of days ago, when a couple of guys that were up to no good, started making trouble in my neighborhood, i got in 1 little fight and my mum got scared, and said you're movin'.... j/k

Seriosuly, life = more important then phone. Insurance or not, most phone companies would give you a replacement phone. Orange did when i get mugged*

*By mugged i mean beaten the **** out of with a pair of nunchucks and then the ******* ran off with my phone!

This can work both ways though. A guy I knew was once mugged on the underground by a guy with a syringe who said he was HIV+. Needless to say he handed over his wallet pretty quickly.
