is there a reason why maps before the whole land conflict started had Palestine written on it.

Britain controlled it for the short period and the British governor of Palestine then was a Jew. So he actually supported the idea.

Its always been a separate country and they been living in it before the Ottoman rulers.

Britain controlled most of the Middle East then, Saudi Arabia, Iraq etc after defeating the Ottomans. They put someone local for them to control and drain the country from its resources. Look at now

I take it you haven't read any history in your time and been blinded by others...

Israel has been called Israel since the year dot, Palestine didn't even show up as a place originally it was Philistia (something nobody who lives there today for the most part even associates with).

Also yes it is true that Jordan and Syria are the owners of 80% of "Palestine".

Likewise in the last 3,000 years i read that there has always bar 50years been a Jewish Majority in Jerusalem.

In my opinion it is Jewish land... not Muslim land.

Yes. The reason is that the Romans called Israel "Palestine", and the name continued to be used for the next two thousand years. However, this did not change the fact that the place being called "Palestine" was actually Israel, the homeland of the Jewish people. It was not the homeland of the Palestinians, and it was not a nation owned, occupied and ruled by the Palestinians. In fact, the Palestinians weren't even calling themselves Palestinians at this stage; they hadn't even decided on their own definition of the word.

Please see my previous posts for more on this; particularly the post in which I explain that everyone who lived in Israel under the British mandate was called a "Palestinian", even if they were a Jew.

The rest of your post is irrelevant, since it proves nothing.

You strangely forgot to mention that the Arabs rejected this partition plan, while the Jews accepted it.

I dont have that because the stuff I read are not under my hands for me to produce photocopies or even scan.

In fact, why don't you explain why the Jews are entitled to land in a different country to Israel? Seeing as they're the encroaching force, the onus is on people to justify their actions.
 
Not got a huge amount to add to this thread other than admiring Evangelion's well put forward argument and evidence while Abz can only say "Right says you lol"

The internet equivalent of "I know you are I said you are but what am I?"

Looks like Abz is another dodger of evidence when he is asked to provide it, just skimming past it.

How about you answer my question first instead of climbing up on your high horse? I was just asking you to expand on your statement. I have no opinion to offer on Israel or Jews or whatever I'm actually just interested in the views in this thread as it's not actually something I know a whole lot about.
 
You don't really need to be on a high horse to see that what the Israelis are doing is wrong.

Palestinians owned and lived in that house. They shouldn't expect anyone to go 'right, you're out'. It doesn't matter if it's to do with religion, or nationality, or whatever. A house is a house. No country in the world should be doing forceful evictions for something the original owners have no control over.

The fact that it's part of an encroaching initiative by the Israelis against the backdrop of a globally suspected undercurrent of genocide and marginality of the Palestinians just make it worse.
