Im so annoyed at this program, uncovers to me what a huge waste of money these people are they both deserve to be put in for life.

If anyone didnt see it was just on BBC2.

she had her mum, who was too ashamed to be on the show plenty of people lost fathers/mothers and arent scum like that.

£37500 a year for an adult and £42000 for a young offender. apprently which is disgusting, not many people earn that!

now I never knew that, they should have to pay or work to go to prison or be shot simple, maybe 1 offence but any more than that they can rot.

That girl who was mates with the girl who went to sheffield, called lauren who was in the program is a right ****, I'm sure she was doing drugs at the end of the school field. When I was in yr 8 or 9 everyone ganged round me and I was held against the wall whilst she was allowed to hit me, was abit embarrasing. Was obvious she would turn out to be a no hoper, I cant believe the other lass got let off with a clean slate aswell I mean wtf, she's probably not learnt her lesson at all.

i'l like to see a breakdown of those costs , since a lot if not most prisons are private now and ran for profit it wouldnt surpise me though if your figures are indeed accurate

They are from 2003 so its possible they might be different now, the benfits system needs to be sorted really, far too many people dont want to work and live off the benefits system (I know more than a few myself)

She had a mum who apparently washed her hands of her when she was 13.

Not exactly a parenting role model.

I'm sure she didn't make her mums life easy, but we certainly do know there was no mention or sight of the mother during the program, so that part of the story certainly adds up.

I was thinking that while i was watching. Only a matter of time before one of them gets knocked up and begins the cycle again with another child.
