More Left 4 Dead DLC Announced

I thought the L4D team were putting all their eggs in the sequel basket. Fair play to them. Valve +1.
 
Forced due to public reaction? or something they had planned before the L4D2 announcement?

In my opinion i would like to think its something they have had planned for quite a while but didn't expect such an uproar with the sequels announcement.

Looking forward to the release of both this and L4D2 though :P

the primary goal of "Crash" is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game's existing Versus campaigns.

Does that mean its a short campaign made up of bits of the other 4 we already have, or am I interpreting it wrong?

I imagine they fully expected the L4D2 mini backlash, quite smart are Valve.

Either way it's not really worth thinking about. It's good for the gamers and it boosts sales (and raises the profile of the sequel), everybody wins.

It is neither generous nor stingy.

Probably the minimum price for any content Microsoft allow on their market place.

Valve would have wanted it to be free, but Microsoft just won't allow it.

It's one of the reasons why the TF2 DLC has taken to appear on Xbox 360.

That and it's limited memory.

-2 full maps
-Chopper pilot was, in fact, infected. Zoey is blamed for the crash, since she shot him.
 
yer if you search the game files there are lots of sounds about how the pilot feels i bit meh and had to fight some zombies off.

On a lighter note Zoey looks like she has had a bit of a face lift since the Last Stand poster
 
This is much appreciated DLC although as they faced a backlash from their fans from the L4D situation.

Throwing us free stuff will likely appease us and go a little way to increasing L4D2 sales by a few more from the ones who initially said "**** Valve" when they initially announced L4D2.

Dont forget, Valve are masters of customer relations/Manipulation, by the time L4D2 is released, we will all queing up on STEAM to get our copy ;)
 
One thing a fair few people have picked up on from the poster is the difference in smg's on show. Bill and Louis look like they're carrying mp5's as opposed to the Uzis found within the original 4 maps. Francis' gun also looks like a p90, however its hard to tell given the angle.
 
I want to know if L4D2 will allow 2 teams of 4 to roam the streets them meet up at certain points to help out with hoards.. that would kick ***.

Imagine Bill, Francis, Louis and Zoey meeting up with the 4 or how many from L4D2.

8 Player co-op.

2 Mini battles going on in the same level at the same time.
