Hey there, sorry if there is a specific place to put these topics, couldnt find any other place.
Basically im wanting to upgrade my system, as well as building a cheaper system for my girlfriend so she can play Aion with me.
However, while i was browsing and price checking it hit me that i should just give her my current PC, but remove my GTX 9800 and build a new system for myself.
Basically the PC im using now is pretty good, but all the medium priced items of hardware are better than what i have, given its two year old age.
So instead of upgrading my PC and building another, i going to take out the monster gfx card from my current PC and build a new one from there.
So, any advice on a new system.
Budget around 400, 500 tops.
Basically i need a mobo with quadcore support, SLI support and can hold its RAM. Right now im aiming for 6 Gig of decent ram.
On the list so far
- Q6600 Quad Core (can be different)
- BFG GTX 9800
- OS: XP for now but upgrading to W7
- Mobo ?
- PSU ?
- RAM ?
- Harddrive (doesnt need to be huge)
- Case
- DvD Drive
- Anythin i missed out.
Fire away gentlemen, fire away
