Cancel your Orange contract now!

yea 200mb limit. I don't understand what unlimited wifi is, surely all that does is connects you to the access point/router/whatever?

where does it say 200mb? I'm pretty certain that limit doesn't apply to paym(inc sim only) anymore and is for payg customers.

quidco is now saying 10th(monday) as the end date now for the £100 cash backoffer.

The O2 Web Bolt On can only be used for web browsing on your phone and a fair use policy applies. But if your usage exceeds that of other users, which is normally expected to be below 200MB a month, you'll be charged standard rates for additional browsing. We'll send you a warning text message advising you to limit your usage before this happens, and a text message to let you know when you're being charged.

Edit: That's taken from here http://www.o2.co.uk/explore/tariffs/boltons/paygoboltons/o2web

Edit2: Oh it looks like PAYG has a 200mb limit but contract has no limit? Sorry for the confusion :/

So has anyone one actually got away with not sending their handset back to Mobiles . co . uk then ?

I'd seen the previous thread from Ben from there insisting the have to be send back.

Just curious like ! ;)

lol.. I just called them and they have given me £10 off a month for the remainder of my contract.. lol.. So thats £15 a month for Dolphin 25!

See I dont think they would offer me any more off my deal since they brought it down to £22.50 last year for me.....

I wonder, like you were, if they would allow me to start a new contract with them instead since it's technically new terms and conditions and I would accept them that way.....dont really want to lose my deal I have just now. Still awaiting the text after all.

In fact I'm actually going to call them up this afternoon and try and get a new contract out of it and see what happens.

i would call them and see what they say.. I was dropped from £30 to £25 last year so its worth a go...

How long did it take for the Quidco to track your O2 purchase? I took extra precautions and cleared cookies etc. Ordered 5/8/9 at about 8pm, and it still hasn't tracked :(

What exactly are you saying to Orange though when you get your tariff reduced ?

Well when I got mines reduced in the first place it was with simply threatening to leave. This is pretty much quite similar.

I have entered the last 6months of my current deal this month so I am going to call up around the lines of, "Heard about these changes to certain calls and I know this effects my contract. According to my terms and conditions....blah blah blah"

What I am angling for here is a new contract term having the existing one put onto a new 18month period in which to include these new conditions which would also get me a new phone....

TO ensure you get offered some form of deal though Magic you have to get through to Cancellations/Retentions, these are the only people who can offer you any kind of deal/discount/re-negotiation. I'm sure there's an option to go straight through to them. Customer services as many people can testify on here basically try and fob you off with all manner of excuses.

So that took 3 days right?

And how did you get the extra £11.80?! :p

Cheers,

Su

God knows :/

2 days. Ordered it on 5th.

On the phone to them at the moment.....well on hold.....gonna give it a wee go, just selected cancellations in the options as I'm currently "thinking" about leaving Orange, I will probably get fobbed off with some excuses haha :p I'll report back when I speak to them.

Ok so I got some complete BS on the phone with this guy despite noting the terms and conditions and I would well be within my right to cancel he has basically said I cant because it doesn't effect me.

He is claiming the only way to cancel is to go over your limits and that is all. I stated back to him that I signed a contract at said conditions and these have been altered in a detrimental way or as they put it in the terms and conditions

4.3 You may also terminate your Contract if we vary its terms, resulting in an excessive increase in the Charges or changes that alter your rights under this Contract to your detriment. In such cases you would need to give us at least 14 days written notice prior to your Billing Date (and within one month of us telling you about the changes). However this option does not apply if:

4.3.1 we have increased the Charges by an amount equal to or less than the percentage increase in the All Items Index of Retail Prices published by the Central Statistical Office in the Monthly Digest of Statistics in any 12 month period;"

So here I have the ultimate excuse of because you dont go over your limits you are unable to cancel as it wont effect you even although if I do go over my limits it would. Argggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!

Since I havent recieved the text message either they wont deal with the query until such times as I do.

I'm tempted to phone up someone else.
