New car....and its a...Now With Pics!

Mondeo ST220 in performance blue!

Picked her up today, pics will come tomorrow!

Loving every second of it at the moment, its a massive step up from the 1.2 clio I've had whilst at uni.

As for the vital stats, i'm sure you all know the performance figures so I'll skip those, but it's got climate control, ac, heated leather recaros, auto headlights and washers, 6 sony head unit, the list goes on.

Paid 5,200 for it, with 50,000 on the clock, it has a full ford service history and got a years tax, had the dealer refurb all 4 alloys and got a tank of fuel.

So i'm very pleased, I'll be giving it a bath tomorrow.

Edit: Pics now included sorry for the camera quality...couldnt be arsed to break out a proper camera as the mother requested I clean her RX350 too...and quite frankly when it came to picture time I was knackered!! Enjoy!

I knew these were cheap, but i didn't know they were THAT cheap. Especially from a dealer!

Nice one.

Nice one.

I worked at a manufaturer head office during on my placement, and made friends with a few people in the major dealer networks ;)

I'll have words :D, but on a serious note if you find one at a main dealer, contact me via trust if I have a contact I'll make a call for you

It's also the saloon as oppose to the hatch

Thats why it was such a cracking deal I think.

They are fantastic cars, it was a toss up between one of those and the Octy vRS in the end for me. Not being able to find a nice ST220 in my budget was the deciding factor at the time.

Nice one - get the pics up!

Would love an ST, currently drive a TDCI and its a fantastic car - one with more power and a few more toys would be perfect :D

I thought the saloon was more sought after than the hatch/estate? A lot of people seem to prefer them? I have to admit, I prefer the way they look but not convinced in terms of practicality. One of the great things about the mondeo is its ability to swallow a stupid amount of "stuff". Did a trip to Ikea with 2 friends and happily got a wardrobe, a dining table/chair set, some bookshelves and the usual bags of ikea crap in the back, not sure if you'd be able to do quite so much in the saloon.

Would be interested to hear from the ST owners around here what fuel costs are like on a day to day basis - that's the only thing stopping me from replacing my car with one. Insurance is only another 50 quid over my current car, just not sure if I can cope with going from a 2.0 diesel to a 3.0 petrol :)
