Texting your partner

Run RUN TO THE HILLS! Its the only safe place without signal so you at least wont get all the whining texts of "I WANT ATTENTIONNNNNN"

Anyway if you actually like this girl, nip it in the bud now before it drives you slowly insane and decide to retaliate by getting battered and sending really rubbish abrupt ones when shes doing this (despite informing her of said night out with friends). Aparently girls dont like that

I text my gf once or twice during the day but generally I forget to reply. She don't get annoyed because she forgets to reply as much as me. It gets annoying texting and then you end up talking about crap all for the sake of it.

I've never really liked 'txting' as reading txtspeak really annoys me and people who use it in general even more. God forbid there're still some people who use proper spelling and grammar while texting but I'd say that's the minority. :(

I never, ever use text speak. Infact almost everyone I know and text doesn't either!

I was brought up in an age where landlines were a luxury, never mind mobile phones.

Can't text, won't text. Everyone who knows me will know I refuse to use mobile phones for anything other than receiving/making calls.

Me neither. I hate de-coding what people are trying to say using txtspeak. If someone texts me using it, i generally dont reply.

Don't see a problem with text speak on a phone, you do it to get more words into a single message. When people start using it on a forum however...

I hate texting, I need to get her on a contract phone so she can phone me instead.

I personally used to take a little more thought if I wanted to stick to 1 message, but the past few years I've always had unlimited texts and basically all phones support multi part texts too, so I may as well just be as verbose as I want :)

Yeah im the same, but she is on payg, so condenses messages AND doesn't phone anyone as its so expensive.

I think if you wont be seeing each other that evening then it's nice to just send a text during the day if you won't be able to talk on the phone later.
I don't have a bf at the moment but even if i did I wouldn't be able to text much anyway as we're not allowed to use our phones at work.

Personally I think it's nicer to have a brief chat on the phone rather than texting.

My ex used to text me in the morning, at lunch and then when i finished work. He would then also be on msn so we would end up talking on there. It did feel a bit too much.

He agreed so we stopped and i would wait until work ended before i spoke to him. He would then complain he hadn't heard from me enough  I couldn't seem to win!

tbh why would you put your mobile phone in a draw and leave it? its a means of someone to get in contact with you. if you don't want to answer the call thats fine but at least you had the option...

It really riles me up when I cant get hold of my parents because they didnt take their phone out with them.... sure I could be dying in a street corner but obviously they don't care if I wanted to phone them and say good bye before I died. I'm sure its happened many a time :p
