Report of rioting in Birmingham City Centre

You'd have to think it though, because it's not like they come out in the mass media and say it themselves is it?

true they do seem awfully quiet.

Yet as soon as someone prints

Enoch Powell, why didnt anybody listen

They did listen. And they wisely ignored him, because he was talking complete ********. As history has gone on to prove.

I don't know why the myth of free housing or benefits for immigrants persists. Immigrants don't get offered anything for just arriving in the country.

It's easier to blame that minority. The media won't go for a much bigger proportion of the population.

Well the welfare system is being heavily taxed (not just by immigrants but they don't help) But as a solution I would suggest the reform of a broken system before "It's all the immigrants fault, throw them out".

Agreed, it is broke. For somebody to get the motivation to work they need to find something that pays enough to cover what they'd get free on the state by doing nothing. For example prescriptions, school uniforms for their kids (?)

Yes, please do go on.

Is it the immigrants fault we offer all this on a plate?

Yes, far easier to blame them I suppose than having any intelligence as to ascertain the root cause.

I dont blame them i blame our government , so many people have given their lives for this country for it to be destroyed from within with misguided policy ,we are a tiny tiny country its full !!

I seem to see it this way,

Anti fundamentalists are as bad as their oposite numbers,

Anti racists tend to lean on the racist card for everything, everything is racist even if the the cause is right and only against fundamentalist groups it must be racisit because they are against a muslim, or some are not white ect ect..........

Anti fundamentalists lean on imigration and race forgetting mismanagement of government overseas policy, dictatorships and corruption in muslim countries and poverty as the major causes of terrorist activity..........

Just a few things there but im sure there are so many more.

Yeah, but that suggests you still think the immigrants get benefits for just being immigrants.

Not only that but if the country were full, then we would have to drastically cut down on the country's birth rate in order to stop the supposed overcrowding. Of course Britain isn't 'full'.

As an immigrant who came to this country nearly 6 years ago, got a job and paid tax but didn't get anything for free - no council housing, no benefits, no Jobseekers allowance; I was not entitled to anything except basic NHS services - can someone tell me what I did wrong? Was I out of town when all the free housing and buckets of cash were given out?

No because this country is all about screwing the little guy, taking as much as possible. Too many rules and regulations that are supposed to be for our benefit arnt really for our benefit.

Am I right in thinking you moved here from Australia?

Yep.

Why did you do that, out of interest?

For the lulz. :)

My father and paternal grandfather were both English, so I have plenty of relatives in this country on both sides of the family. I have always had a keen interest in British history, and wanted to experience the wealth of Britain's cultural and historical heritage first hand. Britain also offers an easy gateway to Europe, which I have found very convenient.

In January 2004 I entered the UK on a 4-year ancestry visa because I didn't have a British passport yet. I applied for it in 2006; received it a few months later, and I've had dual citizenship ever since. I've been married to my (English) wife for nearly four years, and we now have a 4.5 month old daughter who has dual British/Australian citizenship and passports for both countries. We will be moving back to Australia later this year; most likely at the end of September or early October.

Hope that covers all the bases. :p

He is such a fan of the British police he wanted to be closer to them ....... ;)

Well... just outside arms' length, at least. Unless they also have asps, in which case I'll want a little more distance. ;)

Thanks. Sorry for being nosey - I've just developed a mild obsession for your country since deciding to visit. Can't imagine why anyone would want to swap there for here at the moment, but its probably the halo effect and the fact the novelty has yet to wear off :p
