Your Favourite Videogame Music

The Quake 2 soundtrack always stands out for me as one of my favourites. Megaman 2 and Streets of rage 2 had some really good stuff too I remember (thanks to youtube for reminding me!)

I'll admit Wow had some good songs too when I played it a few years back

All time favourite song on Xenon 2! What a game that was!
 
All the MGS tracks and a lot of the FF tracks (FF7 and FFX mostly).

FFX-2 has a couple of good songs too, but nothing beats the MGS theme :D Sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it.

Oh, and Halo has a couple of good tunes.

GTA Vice City has some quality tracks but anything from Nobuo Uematsu it always fantastic.
 
Bioshock soundtrack by far.

Can't beat the choice of music on the fort frolic level with the environment and atmosphere. A sheer masterpiece
 
For me its a bit hard to chose; music/media and games are two of my major hobbies and interests.

Well, almost any theme track by Nobuo Uematsu; I'd love to see his stuff played in the UK
Metroid
Zelda
Baldur's Gate series

Have to put an honourable mention in for Age of Conan too, that's very well done.

My main music tastes are actually metal and rock; but I have a real soft spot for any exceptional music made using real instruments; Im just not as big a fan of synths as I am of say guitars, orchestras etc.

Edit: Can't believe I forgot Jeremy Soule...I actually used to put the TA CD in a CD player now and then when I was younger just to listen; awesome work!

There's some other brilliant suggestions in this thread; but I need to stick with the above sets :)

Wow, I'm quite surprised to hear someone mention Shadowfire, but I loved that game and the theme. It was the Speccy version I played first, and it was possibly the first tune on the old ZX that I heard where it sounded like it had two instruments (and I use the term loosely) playing at the same time - impressive stuff for the time I can tell ya ;)

The bargain of course was that when I saw the light and got a C64, the original game had the Spectrum version on one side of the tape, and the C64 version on the other.
