halflife2 ep3

There was a thread about 3 days ago with a similar vein . . . .

All valve ever say it will be released when its ready. Trust me, the whole internet will know when its released.
 
There will be no episode 3, Valve know they could never provide a satisfactory ending to the story and so will try to distract us with new shiney games like L4D3 in the hopes we will forget about Gordan Freeman.

Episode 3 is a lie.
 
i'm glad it's not out. i don't have a pc capable of running it. i think i'd cry if everybody else was playing it but i couldn't. :D

Fact! There's also going to be a full blown Half Life 3, disguised as Blue Shift 2, where the characters constantly refer to the mind blowing events of episode three but never an actual episode 3.

As the great Yahtzee put it, Valve missed the point of Episodic Games.

They just made it into an excuse to make pathetic excuses for "episodes" (in terms of length and content) ever 3 years instead of a full game.

To be honest Black Mesa Source will probably be released first, which to be honest I'm looking forward to more than Ep3.

the episodes may have been short. put i prefer an extremely well made game to a large one that's shoddily made. The actual content of he episodes was top quality and quite possibly the best content iv seen in a single player fps.

I agree, but that doesn't excuse valve from using episodes as a cop out from making a full game so they can run around doing other things.

I mean Ep1 came out 4 years ago now, in 4 years we have had maybe what, 10 hours of total gameplay? How messed up is that?

3 years :)

And we've seen content from other games. As far as I know, all the development from Valve is from the same team, and while they may not exactly be working their asses off to get games out, Ep 1 and 2 aren't the only things that have been released in 3 years.

Of course Black Mesa: Source will be out first, that has been given a 2009 release date where as details about episode 3 are non-existant.

Thats the thing, they pushed HL off the board, they ignored their main franchise.

It's madness is what it is.

They have developed Portal, TF2 and L4D and are currently working on L4D2 but are as far as we know completely ignoring HL.

THEY ANGER ME!
