So I started lvling a pally alt last week.

I have to say I am really enjoying it. I am having amazing fun lvling through some wsg. Even at that low level its amazing how hard I am to kill :p

I have heard that lvling as prot is a good way to go as you become next to impossible to kill. But a lot of guildies have told me i should lvl as ret

i leveled to about 70 as ret, then switched to prot and enjoyed it a lot more.. was much easier to get into instances and gave me good practise for tanking.. found it more fun too tbh.

i leveled as a prot pally all the way to 80 and had a blast i was aoe'ing like a trooper :D did 1-80 in 13days played and thats most heroic epics (before 1.2)

yup you can since the latest patch :D

it was one of the reasons I decided to re-roll an alt :)

You dont get XP per kill though. You get XP for events in the BG. Ie capping a flag, losing a game :p or winning a game. Its not bad XP either. I'm really enjoying it

atm my talents are in prot I think I am going to see how prot goes. Although I am a bit worried that as prot I should be using a 1h and shield. But I have the BoA 2h sword from WG. Which is insane dps for the level.

Maybe you should take a break from it or start a new character?

I Just tried out a DeathKnight for the first time. I see why a lot of people use these, they are so over powered. I took on five similar level mob guys and barely broke a sweat.

Definately one for the kids :p

DK's are good if you're just fighting mobs but not that powerful in PVP.
 
So I got my pally to level 20 last night. It was wsg daily so I decided to do that. Was crazy at level 20 I was the lowest level because obviously I got promoted to the 20-29 bracket. But even at 20 my survivablity was second to none.

I held the flag twice. Every time I was attacked I just stood there and flash healed myself to death while my rogue defender jumped on them and killed them off. Meanwhile I would remana and do it all over again. Its insane ! I cant stress enough how much more fun it is to beable to level in PvP again.

Glad blizz finally decided to put it back in

Why would they introduce new servers? Plenty of graveyard servers out there already.. wouldnt make sense to open new ones.

yea there wont be any servers for a long time , they havent even anounced any new ones coming on the huge sticky on the forum with people begging for a pvp server.

the newest pve server saurfang is only around 4months old so dont expect a pve one any time soon
 
Is there a general problem with instances at the moment?

I'm getting "Additional instances cannot be launched. Please try again later" messages and a quick Google seems to indicate this is a recent phenomenon.

Just means there is too many people already in there I think. Just wait a bit and it'll go away. Normally happens with low level ones like Deadmines.

This was happening to servers in my battlegroup, Conviction,for months on end, more or less since launch of WotlK.

The last 3 weeks we've had extended maintenance which supposedly was to introduce more instance servers which seems to have worked as we no longer get instance full messages.
