F@H WUs - Balanced or biased?

Since getting my GTX260s, I have only have 4 353 and 1 511 pointer WUs where as I must have had around 8-10 1888 pointers. Has anyone else noticed that they seem to receive a certain WU more than others. Not that I'm complaining, anything is better than a 511

personally i prefer the 1888's as they produce less heat from my cards
but i seem to still get a lot of the 511's and 353's
i think its just luck of the draw

luck of the draw - I've a 472pt unit at the minute but been getting 511 ever other wu at the minute

It seems to come in waves for me I'll get a load of 511 or 1888 in a row. Although having said that I've got one 511 and one 1888 at the moment.

I do think they need to up the points for the 511 though they are a pain in the rear.

With the fans at full whack on both GPUs (my ears....

) they still get to 78C with 511 in the evening. You can walk up the stairs and be heat by the heat coming from my room

Agree with dekez I too seem to get the WUs in waves as well I have just recently had a lot of 1888 poiters

The WU's seem to arrive in batches.
511 = heat 77/78C & low ppd
Got a 353 at the mo @ 70C never get enough to reach max ppd

1881 & 472's about 60C & more ppd
I too have a 260

I have had quite a few 511's lately i seem to get them when i'm about to go to sleep so have to have the fans louder than i would otherwise like to have em

What fan speeds do you have to have with those clocks?

Ignore those clocks in my sig those are gaming overclocks

GPU 580
Shader 1510
Memory 750
Fan @ 60%

Did you notice any loss in PPD when lowering the core? I currently run Gigabyte's default clocks:- 650/1400/2000 C/S/M @ 60-100%.

If i lower the core to minimum of 435Mhz i lose about 400ppd on a 353 WU

No fan

Temps around 50-52°C for a 1888

Core: 648Mhz
Shaders 1512Mhz
Mem: 1053

I love 353s. Hit 6000ppd on my 8800GT with a 353 the other day. Sadly they barely last an hour

I don't think there's many more 1888s than anything else - it just seems that way as they take such a long time! Prefer them to the 511s, which take ages and produce terrible PPD.

Not bothered about heat, as my Accelero with hi-tech cooling solution (cable-tied 120mm fan

) keeps things below 55c all the time.

38*'s are the worst for me. Can knock a 260 down to >3K

Christ that's low :/ I have just upped mine by 50Mhz on the shader to 1450Mhz, has resulted in a 250PPD increase on 1888s which isn't bad. Now at 7475PPD for these 1888 WUs.

After having three days of getting 1888s with only two or three exceptions, I have now begun to get nothing but 511s

Haven't checked recently, been away for a week. Seems to be stable at around 12K with 1 260 and 2 quad cores folding.
