As barmy said it's a complete remake and remains faithful to the plot, the only differance is vastly better graphics and entirely recreated maps, basicaly they have taken the empty, dull areas in HL1 and made them functional.

So all I will need is any of the half life series to play Black Mesa or do I need a specific version?

Im glad my opinion means so much to you (kidding its all fun)

I dont mean that the whole series is dire i loved HL, HL2 and epi 2, I just think that episode 1 was a leak link in a great series.

You will need Steam and at least HL2.

As far as I know, you only need a Source engine game to play it. So CSS would work as well as TF2.

Well he did say that they'll announce when they're ready, confirmed what we knew, they were working on it at least lol
