5th one is a cracking shot Photoshop.

You seem to have the horizon in the middle of the frame in all of those shots though, try mixing it up a little. Rule of thirds and all that :)

Photoshop, please stop using the border and centering everything. I think it would improve your shots no end if you tried something a bit different.

For example, the 5th shot is really nice but I would have done something like this:

Yes that looks much Much better.

That's a fantastic shot - I love shots like this that don't follow the rules but end up looking great :)

Thanks. That was one at -2AEV which was part of an HDR set but decided just to use this one.

Much better.

I agree.

Having taken onboard your suggestions, I have re-done the following:

I have to be honest, i prefer photoshop's version of that pier than Raikiri's. Whilst i can appreciate the criticism of centering... photoshop's pic is showing the observer a huge, open, empty expanse with this bold pier acting as it's only punctuation. The sense of loneliness and just enormous scape is quite beautiful. With the picture cropped and the pier taking up over half the horizontal line... the scape of the land seems much less of an impact, and it just becomes a stylish photograph of a pier.
