Robbers forgot to read sign ""Abandon hope all ye who enter here"

Sounds like self defence so no arguments about his actions, as has been noted however it is somewhat surprising that nothing more seems to have come of his not having a permit for the weapon than it being confiscated. Maybe that was viewed as sufficient sanction, I wonder if he'll apply for a licence if he's got another gun.

They could've just went away with the first shot... If I read correctly they didn't.

It's their own fault.

Harlem, New York? No wonder.

I'm also surprised as to why he wasn't charged, given the strict gun laws in NY...

Because the criminal justice system in New York doesn't protect the criminal like ours.

In this country he would be arrested (and told this is a good thing because it gives him legal protection), charged and a jury of 12 random nutcases would decide whether he was guilty or not. It's always in the public interest to try these type of cases.

I'm not sure, I was under the impression this man would have fallen foul of local gun laws. If I can find the specific legislation for NY I'll post a link.

Jury trials would be done away with if certain elements within the government had their way here. Still, that doesn't stop ridiculous pieces of "evidence" like robotic arms and non-sequiturs being used in court.

If they had guns, how did he manage to shoot 4 of them before any of them got a shot off back? Guy has skills :p
