CoolerMaster HAF932 Thread

ok whats up with the 5.25" bays on this thing. theres these black buttons to hold drives in place and theres holes in the side of the black plastic thing where you can see the screw holes on the drive.........but the holes are too small to actually get any screws through them!!!!!! ive tried every screw that came with the case and none are even close to fitting down those holes to be able to screw the drive in place!!! im either doing something very wrong or thats incredibly stupid!

the feeble push button thing is not going to hold my bd drive in place well enough to stop vibrations etc, and with the black crap in the way i cant screw it in either! all i can do is open the back side of the case and screw them in on one side only, which entirely defeats any point in having the black thing anyway (think i saw someone else mention something similar).

I've just fitted a couple of DVD RWs to my 840 Classic and find they are not solid enough, they give a bit when pressed if you know what I mean. I secured them with one screw each and they now feel more solid. I think I'll start an 840 Classic thread.
 
and one more thing.....theres instructions to remove the fan at the top and replce with 3x 120 fans.....BUT YOU DONT GET THE ALUM KEY REQUIRED TO REMOVE THE SCREWS......

come on ewok, when you buy a kettle you dont expect the tea bags as well, they can only suppy what is required for a normal build, if you want to change the fans buy an allen key, 10p each in the local shop here :D
 
Anymore HAF pictures lads/Ladies?

Is it worth me spray\painting the case black inside? It does look nice but done really wanna take the whole thing apart.

Can you get a good finish.

What sort of paint do I need?

Steps to take?

Light sand then white primer paint.

Then paint\spray black.

yeah i had this problem as well when i built mine, i used a t15 torx bit to remove mine as i have the psu mounted at the top due to running sli and the bottom card being very close to the psu
 
I so want a HAF932 - i think in September im going to buy one and try and get 2 x 240 rads, etc in there. It is a beautiful case. Its either than or a Silverstone TJ-07 but i dread to think how much they cost!
 
Is that the NorthQ 3580 mounted in the top of the case? If so whats the temps like & which way are the fans blowing?

Finally got my HAF last week and now upgraded to black opticals, was using my pair of silver DVD-RWs, looked awful! Now it's all black, I'll have to post some pics sometime soon!
 
I got this case its awesome, great for cable management, plenty of room for watercooling kit, fans are very quiet, i like it a lot

Had Antec 902 before, but was a bit of a tight squeeze, HAF 932 much better
 
im starting to like this case for some strange reason.

couple of question's 1st.

can the fan light's be turned off ?

can the front fan be replaced with 2 120mm fans ?
