****The Playstation 3 Slim Thread****

Thankfully they arent £$%^ing household ornaments and actually play games rather well - maybe when some of you finish putting on your make up and doing your nails you'll remember that.....

Have to agree with this post - even though it's not been put in a particularly eloquent way!

Remember, it's only a games machine - not a Rembrandt! As long as it plays the games, who cares what it looks like? ;)

It's not as though any consoles have looked that good before! (possibly with the exception of the Wii).

Looks nice. Will definately buy it on launch. Apparently the backward compatibility chip is in this one. Even more reason to buy.

Can't say that BC has ever bothered me (but then again I don't have a big back catalogue of PS2 games).

Live for the now....

But Shadow of the Colossus is too unique to disappear into the mists of time. It must be preserved on each successive generation of PlayStation. That's my desire...

I've played Dr Muto several times on my 60GB and that's about it.

Dr Muto Four Teh Winz :D

Glad to see that the Wii is still doing well. A lot of my friends (and myself) all bought Wii's early on - but just about every one got bored & sold it.

To me, it was always a party machine - and would sit around doing nothing the rest of the time. So it was always a bit of a novelty console.

Never played that - I heard very mixed reviews (looked great, but was very repetitive?).

I think i read you can now sync the PS3 up with Bravia TV's so would i beable to use my TV remote to operate Blu Ray's without the need to buy a dedicated remote?

Read that to, but there are no dedicated buttons for play, forward etc. on my remote

You can setup that the PS3 shuts down when you turn off the LCD but that isn't really that useful.
