Noble M600: Released

ferrari/ r8/lambo/saleen s7

not bad, rather have a m12 or 400 though

looks great and it's just made around the corner from me so i'll keep my eye out for it being test driven :D

you sure? i thought they only had 1 factory and thats up road from me......guess i was wrong :)

I think the car looks pretty good and the stats are obviously not to be sneered at but its going to have to be one hell of a car to sell well in that market.

Autocar are testing this next week, and they ran a brief story on it today - of immediate interest is that Lee Noble is no longer with the company (he had a failling out with the other co-owner).

The specs speak for themselves:
Weighing 1275kg, the M600’s longitudinally mounted, twin-turbo V8 engine will give the car 600bhp per tonne — enough for 62mph in 3.0sec, 100mph in around 6.5sec and a maximum speed of 225mph.

If that doesn't say enough, then how about Autocars Steve Sutcliffe, who has driven it:
The M600 is way crazier than the Ariel Atom and Caterham R500; they're magnolia by comparison.

Rather scarily, due to cost issues the M600 has no ABS, and the engine has been tested up to 750bhp (although the production version will have 650bhp).

The numbers are mega, it could punch way above its 200k price range if they turn out to be true. I really hope it turns out to be good as it should be! (I dont care how much it costs as I will never be able to afford one;) )

im not a big "buy british" sort of person, but noble makes me very proud to be british. i wish theyd become a touch more mainstream

definitely like the look of that, although a bit pricey for me.

not quite sure how then come up with 600bhp per tonne from 1275kg and 650bhp, but either way its going to be quick.

saw one of the mules last year when I was up at Bruntingthorpe with Dangerous, looked very quick and composed.

Yamaha seems to have a hand in a fair few car engines/head designs.

I wonder why they never make a car of there own

Would've been interested to see a Top Gear style test between this and the TVR Typhon if they'd ever really gone into production. About the same power to weight and the Typhon was actually designed to handle and the like as it was raced. Looked a bit off and I'm not sure how the Speed Six would've delt with putting out 575hp reliably :P

Would've been under half the price too.... I miss TVR so much :(
