Personally, I've never been able to watch any film that requires you to wear 3D glasses over my normal everyday glasses. They just won't fit and feel very uncomfortable.
This is why I'm severely ****ed off about not being able to see 'Avatar' as it should be viewed when it's released.

Aren't 3d glasses just plastic shades with a special type of coloured plastic instead of lenses? Would it be possible to make your own? If so, maybe you could cover the prescription lenses with the plastic.
I'm almost certain this idea is ridiculous for some reason. I know nothing about the subject; only what I remember from going to the IMAX.
