What is this country coming to, and the kids in it.

It's hard to think of a suitable punishment for them as they are children, but that no way condones their actions. Maybe the parents should be looked at too?
 
Unfortunately, if this is where I think it is in Halifax, it's one of the worst estates in the country.

These two kids will get off with a slapped wrist, and in a few years they'll commit murder.
Personally, I think the kids should be taken into care and the parents should face custodial sentences.
 
Spray de-odorant in their eyes then set them alight.
Makes sure they light up and that the match doesn't fail to ignite.
This would be the most effective deterrant to ensure other children of similar age don't try the same thing.
 
The kids involved should be assigned some sort of Social Worker, they should be given counselling to help them understand what they have done wrong, maybe send them on some Course for a few weeks at an Outdoor Centre where they can develop further into Society, when they're good and better behaved they should get Games Consoles as rewards. This way we show them the correct way to act and hopefully they won't commit anything violent or anti-social again.

Or, they should just get their arses kicked.

Seriously, stop wasting tax payers money on benefits and build more prisons with a tougher judicial system - life should mean life!!!
 
the kids need to be severly punished, just because they are children doesnt excuse an act of violence like this, since they think they've gotten away with it, it will only lead to them commiting more severe crimes and asaults.
 
God knows what's in the mind of kids these days. I had to endure an hour of the noise from stupid scally yesterday. She was outside the house, dressed in a ballerina's (?) outfit yelping like a dog.

I mean...

Thats really weird, where would the idea to do this come from? I know kids have active imaginations, but i could think of a million better things to do!
 
I say the parents of the boys should be arrested and charged with the crime. Maybe that would start making these kinds of parents a bit more responsible, if they knew the crimes of their spawn would be put on them instead.

As for the boys themselves, take them into care and teach them why they did wrong and why its not acceptable... as clearly this has not been taught to them by the parents. ( and i say parents and not school... its not the job of a school to instill these kinds of things but to merely reinforce while educating ).
 
Pretty sickened by this story, as has been said do to those kids what they tried to do to that poor girl and make sure it works.
