Batman: Arkham Asylum™ exposes players to a unique, dark and atmospheric adventure that takes them to the depths of Arkham Asylum - Gotham City’s psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane. Gamers will move in the shadows, instigate fear amongst their enemies and confront The Joker and Gotham City’s most notorious villains who have taken over the asylum. Using a wide range of Batman’s gadgets and abilities, players will become the Invisible Predator™ and attempt to foil The Joker’s demented scheme.

Batman: Arkham Asylum™, features NVIDIA® PhysX® technology, players can explore darkened corridors packed with volumetric fog which reacts to Batman’s movement and cobwebs which tear with his passing. “Supporting NVIDIA PhysX technology has allowed us to add that little bit extra to the PC version of the game,” said Sefton Hill, Game Director at Rocksteady Studios. “As Batman interacts with the world, the aging asylum creates a more immersive, believable world which really draws the player in."

They use the traditional blue and red tints to show the effect of it on a standard monitor whereas the official glasses show the proper colours. It gives you an idea of what the proper thing can do though.

I've tried them and they do work but nowhere near as good as the real thing. That said these are free whereas the proper set up costs you short of £400.

Ah ok, that's cool if they kind of half work though, especially for free!

Lame! That blue and red 3D stuff is rubbish... :o

I haven't tried the real 3D stuff, but I'm interested in how it appears. Shame I'm not as interested on buying the glasses, 120Hz screens and graphics card to get it working. :D

Nice, about 2 hours after i order a BFG GTX 275 OC :(

If it was from here send a webnote, and they'll change it to one of these tomorrow, as this one won't go out till then if you only ordered about 2 hrs ago.

im tempted to get this.... but batman :( traditionally games based on movies arn't that good

Supposedly pretty good from whats been said about it, and you can always try the demo. :)

Not based on a movie, its based on an old graphic novel if Im not mistaken. You ever remember a batman film called Arkham Asylum? :p But I know what you mean, movie based games seem rushed out and half hearted, knowing kids will buy it just because the film was good.

But yea, supposed to be a pretty good game really, like sombody said, its got pretty good reviews

im thinking about getting the card from the top picture, the one with 2 fans, im wondering if those fans will be noisy?
and will this batman offer be on tomorrow?
and what are the PSU requirements, will my jeantech 600 be ok with it?
