top high end game coming soon?

why do you need to play a game at that
Res with 16x aa anyway??????? Only reason i cud see the need for it is if your playing on a 62'' tv

Yeah I hear ya. Totally maxing out a game is maxing out everything lol.

most games on decent hardware will get maxed out totally.

Crysis with 4xAA is unplayable on most resolutions/rigs but at 2560x1600 max setting no AA will cripple most machines.

Sweet maybe, but getting older, and when i9, ddr4 and gtx300 come out ill be selling that rig and be buying newer components. I buy a new pc every year). Some of you know maxishine? Well im a bit like him).

Im just sick of companies not making graphics good enough to match the specs of high end pcs.

By your own admission though, your rig can't even handle Crysis (a 2007 game) maxed out at what most people would call decent framerates.

Give GTA4 a try too, that's another game which I'd expect to cripple most systems when maxed out.

Fact is current hardware is too slow to provide high framerates in (maxed out) old games, never mind new ones. Really we need to be seeing something equivalent to a 6ghz i7 paired with 3x GTX295 at the very least.

When I need to upgrade my rig, he'll need to upgrade his, bit of a waste of money, I wonder if his parents bought that for him, what sort of job would you need to afford all that?

Here's a few. Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (out in October). MW2 (will be sick on PC). Natural Selection 2 (looks awesome and PC only).

I WANT a game that looks good such as COD4, tf2, l4d,...etc and can be played on 1080p res

COD4, TF2 and L4D, three of the most unimpressive games (visually) i have seen in a while  out of those COD4 looks best but even that isn't anything to write home about

How old are you? And how many people do you think actually have Quad SLI setups and £000's to throw away on multiple GPU and top end CPU setups? It's common knowledge that software hasn't caught up to hardware yet and that's a good thing because otherwise we'd all be forced to drop thousands of pounds on computers to experience the eye candy. Nobody forced you to buy 4 graphics cards and if you don't like it that you've spent so much money on something that plays games only as well as something that cost half of what your machine cost then maybe next time you'll learn your lesson?

Better still why don't you do something productive with a high end machine like that? instead of purely playing games on it?

LOVE IT! The last thing I expected on an enthusiast forum was for someone to get smacked down for having an overpowered rig. Not that he didn't have it coming - I could understand if he had to do something with it, but for just playing games? Get a simpler rig, spend your spare £2k on crack & hookers. You'll get just as much fun out of games, but you'll have something to do in between releases.

CPU hungry game, for me the visual settings made hardly any impact on performance.

Yes, CPU dependent game, but some of the settings reduce the cpu load. The view/detail distance sliders made a fair impact on framerate for me (hence I had them both set to 1 on a GTX280)
