had a power cut today, and couldn't be bothered to go out so i found a book about WW2 and started to flick through the pages (looking for pictures mainly:D). but it then made me sit back and think. what if germany won WW2? and continued taking control over the world. how would we live now (if we would even be alive that is, horrible thought i know). but i got to a point where my brain sort of kicked out and couldn't think no more (my lack of intelligence).

just wondered what your thoughts are if germany had won, and if you have ever had a moment like this lol

the worst thing i could possibly think of was that there was no OCUK? could you imagine that!

We'd have a train service that ran on time and our motorway infrastructure would be second to none.

We would not exist, as Hitler invaded Europe to cleanse it because he thought that the other people were not pure or something. Our parents and grandparents would have been gassed.

You do realise that the majority of people in this Country at the time were of Germanic descent, and as such Hitler had no intention of wiping out or eradicating the British civilian populace if Operation Sealion had been enacted and he had somehow gone on to win the war.

Hitler, even if he was a megalomaniacal sociopath, actually had a lot of respect for the British people.

But did they even have a chance of winning it?

With my limited knowledge of WW2 (I must add)

Wouldn't Russia and USA eventually kicked their arse in the end?

We probably would have had already set up a base in mars, established nuclear fusion tech, flying cars, little to no poverty, etc ... in fact, I seriously believe life from a purely technical point would have been pretty sweet.

Except we would all have been white with blue eyes.

There would probably be a German hardware forum member posting a thread asking 'what if Britain had won the war?'

If we hadn't taken Berlin in time they could have got the nuke first which would either mean 2 things, they nuke their enemies until we are all dead. He might not dislike our race but it would be impossible to take America for a long time, by which point they might have the nuke so he would strike first.

Or we surrender and survive. The world would not be a better place at all. Unless you are a nazi ofcourse. I don't see a genocidal racist dictatorship as good.

While he did revive Germany from a great depression it is hard to say if this was down to his leadership or 1000s of other external and internal factors.

What if we didn't get rid of slavery, imagine the pyramids we would have now, they would be freaking huge!! And we would sit in them wearing our luxurious cotton clothes while laughing at jews and blacks. sweet.

Was ist dieser britian, von dem Sie sprechen?

thread of this ilk every 3 months, seriously, if you do a search for the exact same title you can save youself the effort of waiting for the same 500 posts to appear :)

and like some people have said, unless you were a jew/black/cripple/gypsy you'd probably be better off and we'd be more advanced, good job their leader turned out to be a few hampers short of a picnic :D

moot point, although although they technically had the method and means of production the fact that the lead scientist (who later worked on the Manhattan project) had already successfully neutered any further attempt at nuclear capabilities by insisting that the means did not justify the end (it would take far greater quantities of nuclear material than was capable of obtaining in their lifetime to create anything noticeable) made the possibility of a nuclear armed germany a distinct impossibility.
