Purely for my own curiousity - this year as in from 01/01/2009.

I have spent £7 on the remake of monkey island. Yourselves?

This includes all hardware as well as software across all formats.

Including H/W, probably around £400...

Way too much, hundreds of pounds on games, £70 on a 360 (after trading in a few old games) and £100 on an arcade stick.

Sometimes I wish i still allowed myself to pirate games

Bought SFIV and built my arcade sticks and that's about it this year. Sold my DS and a load of DS/GameCube games so actually gained more than I spent for gaming this year :p

Fifa 09 - £15
MGS4 - £14
LBP - £12
The Lost & Damned - £16
Rock Band drums - £20
Guitar Hero III + guitar - £35
Resident Evil 5 - £35
Killzone 2 - £32.99

Total - £179.99

Including money saved for Forza 3 + Fifa 10 takes it to £274.97

Quickly working it out in my head, I'd say over £1500 which is a ridiculous amount of money :(

Trying to justify it by saying some of those were presents for the girls, but it's not working.

(just seen the hardware thing, ok, bump that up to £2k. :( x 1000 )

Hard to say, probably in the region of about £60ish.
£35 for SFIV, the rest on games and DLC from the PS Store.

I did have an insurmountable amount of games from the pre-christmas sales to get through, otherwise it would've definitely been much more than that.

I was expecting to see some big figures but that is ridiculous!

Including hardware, I'd say it's around the £800-900 area

Bought a PS3 with a fair few games + play tv, controllers etc. Also just recently bought a PSP. Plus I seem to buy any weekend deal that steam have, no matter the game, can't pass up a bargain :p

Urm 2 copies of left 4 dead (as im a nice guy and wanted a mate up here in mk to play it too), fm09, ff7, army of 2 (fiver each) urm not sure what else.

Probably £70-80

So far this year I've bought the following:

Fifa 09 - £30.00
NHL 09 - £30.00
NFS:Undercover - £30.00
Far Cry 2 - £34.99
Red Alert 3 - £24.99
Kane's Wrath - £9.99
Dead Space - £20.00
Fallout 3 - £24.99
Grid - £ 24.99
Hitman: Blood Money - £14.99
COD 4 - £19.99
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts - £15.00
Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway - £15.00
Left 4 Dead - £24.99

=£319.92

:o That's a lot for me but not even a drop in the ocean compared to some people's expenditure!

How did you manage that!

If I bought a 360, PS3, rockband, arcade sticks and all the games I want that are out for those consoles I wouldn't spend £2K!

Unfortunately it's quite easy I'm afraid to say.

There's about £800 of that on games, about £500 on consoles, 5 Xbox Gold Subscriptions and over 12 2100 Points cards (2100 points doesn't go THAT far, so they get purchased a fair bit), not to mention two lots of GT:WT (house in Swansea, house in Hounslow), etc, etc.

:o

I would say I rank right up there! :o I don't even want to think about how much I have spent as it will seriously scare me! :(
