Hello.Im having problems with GTX 260 sli not working.I have tried everything i can possibly think of.The motherboard is N7AD-SLI.The very very strange thing is that it works fine in open gl..furmark being an example.Using nhancer SLI load graph i can see it is working fine and the fps increase obviously.Yet with crysis fully patched it doesn't work at all,same with the witcher fully patched same with oblivion etc etc tried various drivers,bioses,clean installations of either XP or windows 7.Any ideas?

Daft question . . but latest nforce chipset drivers? doubt it would make a difference but you never know.
Yes,tried various versions of nforce drivers aswell...like i said.I have tried practically everything i can think of yet it won't work.Played with sli performance settings aswell.Sli just won't kick in when playing the games.It doesn't downclock etc either.It's simply using one card yet opengl benchmarks work fine.
Ok an update.I tried another fresh installation of win xp and now with the nhancer sli load option(green bar) im seeing some activity in the witcher and crysis...but compared to unigine benchmark or furmark in which the green bar is nearly full its practically nothing ie maybe 1/2 fps more than just one card,with the benchmarks i mentioned i see nearly a doubling of the performance ie furmark with one card i get 95 or so max fps with sli i get 180.Tried various drivers and still the same result.Does anyone know what the problem could be? Again here are my specs.I don't think my psu is the culprit as it works fine with the benchmarks..only when it comes to games does SLi not work,plus my pc is stable with an hour of furmark.

Yes i have a little card on the MB i need to switch around so its 8x and not 16x.I doubt that is the problem though if furmark and unigine work fine.With crysis and latest patch i get around the same performance as i do with one card.Tried various drivers for both my MB and graphics card,different bios,different OS win xp and windows 7,different sli performance modes etc.Here is crysis benchmark with SLI...i get around about the same with just one card,its much lower than i should be getting.And like i said its patched up to 1.2

You sound like you would have done everything I would have tried. The only thing I could suggest is,
Contacting the mobo manufacture.
Flashing the cards and you mobo which you more than like have done.
Try the cards in a different board.
Clearing your CMOS.

I only have one MB i can try the cards on...will be a while before i can buy another.Tried switching the cards,putting them in different slots etc tried both themselves and they work fine.Cleared CMOS.Not contacted asrock though which i think i will do,see if it's a common problem.It screams out a software problem though...especially since SLI works fine in furmark and unigine.But i have tried about 5 clean installations the past couple of weeks and made sure not to install anything i don't need.Still get the same problem.Anyway cheers.
Uk,scotland to be precise.Don't worry though,i will try some other things first of all...dont know what but i'll think of something! if furmark etc works but games don't i am sure the problem doesn't reside in the MB.I also checked that none of my gpu's are downclocking and thats not a problem either so im stumped.I will try a few other things or wait for another motherboard bios update.

you say that you notice some activity with nhancer sli load option, is there a chance you cpu is just plain bottlenecking the cards?
my e8500 bottlenecked a 4870x2
ps, i am pretty sure your bench results for crysis are way above a single 260 (actually just noticed all set to high so maybe not)

I can get my cpu up to 4ghz...and im still getting nowhere near what i should be in regards to the crysis benchmark.Even with the witcher im getting around about the same as what i do with a single card.Yet both furmark and unigine tropics demo im getting nearly double the fps.I kept it at 3.16ghz as to not put more stress on the PSU than needed.So while im probably bottlenecking the gtx 260's a tad at 3.16ghz i don't think that accounts for such low fps.

If by sidebar you mean the green bar(nhancer) then yes.It is working but the bar is very very small in all games i have tried.Yet with furmark and unigine benchmark it's almost full,same with the nvidia medusa benchmark.So SLI is definetly working but only amounts to an 1/2fps increase in games.If that...I should say i get practically the same results in windows 7 as i do in XP.

Yes they are the same card Gainward golden sample gtx 260 216.Flashed with same bios aswell.Tried individually and both work fine.Only two bioses i know of for the card,tried both of them and get the same result.Three bioses for the motherboard,tried all of them aswell.
