Recommended for gaming?

Or any other monitors recommended in that price range?

Will be running off the specs below

Help appreciated.

Thanks.

The 2407 is a completely different, AFAIK the s2409's are TN, this is much reflected in the price. I'm hoping these are fine for gaming as I just ordered 2.

I bought the S2409W about 3 weeks ago and I can confirm its a fantastic monitor and is great for gaming!!!

Sure its a TN panel but where else do you sit when you are on your PC other than bang in front of it anyway!?!?!?

the only 24" monitors I've used are the DGM VA and s2409w TN

personally, I couldn't see any noticable ghosting on the dell.

I've used many poor screens in the past, where it's very noticable

upgraded from a Xerox XA7 19i to the Dell 24", best upgrade ever :)

Bad from your own experience?
I've used a TN based panel for the last 2 years and had no trouble whatsoever with it.
It's been fine with movies, games and desktop.
I certainly couldn't justify spending 300 on top of what I pad for the 2409 for a 24" IPS based panel I I honestly can't see if being £300 better.

I'm sorely tempted just to order one. I was going to look at the 26" LG screen, but if that does turn out to be an IPS panel it's still £115 more than this.

My trusty 19" mitsi diamond pro is on the way out.

Not from my own experience. I wouldn't want to take anything second-best when I spend half my life looking at it. Especially if I was going to put it right next to my 2407.

Massive cost difference tho.

You can't really call it second best if you've never really used one.

TN has come a fair way since the originals I've seen some very good looking screens, sopme manufactureres seem to produce far better TN panel based monitors than other manufacturers.

Im hoping dell proves to be as good as my HP was
