Opera 10 final out!

using it since yestrday. Nice! Feels really snappy, especially now on JS heavy sites like Gmail and slashdot. Not sure I lke the new icons but I guess they'll grow. The inline spell checking is pretty awesome. Still miles better than FF3.5 IMO.

I got this yesterday. Can't get the digitalspy forums working as they use some crazy ad setup which means you can't click on any hyperlinks. It's intermittent so I haven't been able to nail the cause yet.

Haven't noticed much difference since I installed it to be honest apart from the different Icons in the Start Menu etc :)

Installed in on Monday when it went final. Seems better than 9.6x. Google Maps is now working much better. Don't really like the new Opera 'O' logo but meh. :p

I love the new logo. I'm having a lot of issues with Opera Link syncronising correctly between different machines! - not working right at all.

The only site I ahve a major problem with is the official BBC Dr Who site. Non of the links work. Also any sites with embedded windows media controls will not work

This would be good news. I would upgrade for the gmail improvement alone.

Hmm, that icon is weird.

Aaagh, it's got an integrated spell checker. How do I turn it off?

What? You mean like browing to a flash site. Clicking 'get plugin' Choosing 'Run' Then restarting your browser?

Yeah that's pretty hard.

I've had weird issues with it. Long story, I'm sure I created a thread about it a while back.

New logo brings it into the 21st century at last - that old one looked well out of date.

It's still my browser of choice, but I worry the lack of decent innovation means it's going to be increasingly left behind. There are also a couple of really stupid incompatibilities with code that should have been fixed.

Is anybody using the Opera Turbo function?

On a different note, have to say eBay and Facebook are loading pretty quickly now compared to 9.64.

Edit - eBay's selling pages still don't function correctly. :(

Ha yeah. That's pretty annoying I forgot about it... Like 5 pages worth of blank-ness on every listing...

Also rbd digital complains of incompatibility. But that's fine as I use FF with privacy settings etc. anyway.

Could you expand on this please?

As far as I can see Opera has innovated/first implemented widely just about every standard browser feature people use these days ?

For opera 10, there is the thumbnail tab bar, opera unite ('web server') , and the turbo function.

I really want to like opera, but the random website incompatibilities drove me away last time.
There's even been mentions of issues within the first 20 posts of this thread..

What are some advantages? Help me understand!
