Oh and thank you to the diesel golf who tried to TLGP me on the way home, way to impress your girlfriend. :p

theres one of those round here, also with an M 621 numberplate so was probably registered at the same time.

Have to keep reminding myself that its not yours as you wont be found driving about in leeds lol.

Looks mean.

Noticed an improvement?

Sounds a little different and seems to spool a little earlier, I only gave it a few blasts as the rebuilt turbo has covered 40miles.

It is just so nice having easy power especially after spending lots of time as a passenger in a 120bhp car, it just makes you appreciate the power more.:)

looks nice Si red samco  8 weeks thats nothing i've been without my 200SX since March :( Don't think it will be running until 2010

It had to be red Samco.

Yours will be ready sooner than you know it, at least you have the mondy of doom to tide you over. Plus this was a small job in comparison so 8 weeks is agessssss.

Nope - that plate style is such that the letters are the region identifier, two cars registered at the same time would have consecutive numbers (ie M620 and M621) but the letters wouldnt change.

all due respesct for buying a gt4.. but i persoanlly hate them ..

just find the drive of them very boring.

Ha, as fox said. What on earth do you drive then?

GT4 does 0-60mph in 6.3 secs with a top speed of 152mph, hardly boring!

And the best thing is a good example can be found for under £4k. It's a beast of a car. I would upgrade from my Celica GT if i could afford the insurance.

They are iconic cars and look damn fine too. Ageless. Same goes for the gen5 and gen4's - beauties! And Gen1's, well...stunning - a dream of mine.

Celica, probably the finest mark ever to be made.

The CT26 came with the car so I am not sure which stage it is, its a Turbo Dynamics MD117 iirc. The advantages are that it pulls all the way to the redline and does not lose power at 5krpm which also stops it chucking loads of hot air into the engine causing engine death unlike the CT20 at higher boost..

I only do 5k p.a so longevity of the turbo isnt really an issue, well unless it lasts 1 mile like it did before. :p

Wrong way around, the CT26 was the older turbo that turned into a hairdryer (on the rev1/2 MR2 and ST165/185) and the CT20B is the one that came on the ST205 from the factory that doesn't run out of puff over 5K. the CT26 spools earlier but runs out of steam but the CT20B spools up later and holds boost better - therefore the CT26 is a better turbo to modify to hold onto boost better, which is probably why Martin put one on your car in the first place ;)

ST205's 0-60 is about 5.7 stock, and you can get a pretty decent faff for about £2.5k nowadays, the bottom has fallen out of the market which is not good when you're looking to sell :/
