What water coolent to buy?

True but its also been proven to how shall i put this gunk up ur equips, well some versions and colours of it.

personally for me id go di-ionized water, and if ur wanting abit of colour then get something like Pt nuke dye, that also adds additives to protect against corrosion.

I used MX3 for the very first time today, and it knocked about 5c off my load temps!!

Excellent TIM imo, I will use this stuff all the time from now on, highly recommended!

Buckiebull, I take it you are from Buckie then?

My dad lives there!

You won't know him mate, he's only been there for the last year... stays on West Church St.. don't really want to plaster my old mans name over here!!! :)

why does OcUK not stock it ? hmm
what thermal paste were you using before ?

Got no idea why OcUK don't stock MX3 but they should do!!

I was using AS5 prior to this stuff..

i like to use MCT-5 Non-Conductive Solution its cheap its green and the only problem with it is if u drop any it smells :)

Medical grade distilled water is the best, but it's REALLY hard to get hold of, and the only commonly available one is Feser Pure Water.

Ice Water with Formaldehyde is what I personally use, but I bought a crate in Germany and I've never seen it since.

I would avoid Feser One at all costs. It's not especially heat conductive compared to water, it is non-conductive but it is capacitative so it can still kill your motherboard and the funky colours under a UV lamp are a dead giveaway when you RMA parts that you spilt water on them.

For ease and low cost - Deionized water from Tescos is dirt cheap and a couple of drops of PT nuke or a silver coil will keep it algae free if you have a window.

This is what I plan to use when I get my custom loop setup..

WJA96, have you RMA'd parts that you have damaged from accidental water spillages???

If so did they replace them without any trouble??

[Guilty]No, of course not. [/Guilty]:D

But if they can't see water then how would they know? Tom Lamb (Yewen) from OcUK has said on the forums before that they will RMA stuff that has been used with water cooling.
