I <3 Americans

Not all americans are thick. I like my american friends :).

Americans obviously aren't stupid, its just their country being a superpower and the inevitable focus that comes with that. I'm sure walking around London would give you similar responses though.

On a biased view based of some of those videos though, it does annoy me that we've followed America into two wars and a lot of their population probably doesn't know where or what Britain is.

I'll be honest, in reply to Chimerical's point, it's true, in one of my jobs I was bored and started asking people random EASY questions like "how many sides does a cube have" I was astonished by the number of people who answered incorrectly.

I guess most people said 4? :p I reckon that is partly due to having a question sprung on them though and reacting badly, more of a psychological trick possibly than genuine stupidity .

You could ask people on the streets in this country about anything, like who the President of Iran is and get blank responses.

I knew of someone who didn't know who Britain's Prime Minister was in 2005 (I think) despite Blair having been in office since 1997.

Maybe hundreds of years ago something stupid was identified in some people in England, so they managed to contain the people that had it, quarantine them and ship them to America, and that's why they're all so stupid, when you don't get a stupid American it's likely to be from gene mutation.

I loled so much as those clips that I then began to get rather worried.

In all honesty thou I bet those yanks were just foolin around, getting all those questions wrong. I mean, they're such a bunch o kidders. They so had us going... jokers the lot of them. I sure feel silly now :D

Lads (and Lasses) let me explain the reason why your average American has a serious problem with geography. I have a friend who was raised in Dallas and he puts it down to the US education system. Geography in the typical US school is centred on the fifty states and their capitols and only when they (and if) they go to College or University is it revealed that there are other countries out there in the big bad world. There is no education of other countries (besides Canada and Mexico) within the usual school curriculum and so, non-achievers who drop out of school or never go on to higher education no next to nothing about anywhere but the good ol' US of A.

we have the same ratio of retards to be fair

i mean look at any of the airplane on a conveyor belt threads :p

If a truck was carrying birds (all seated on perches), and they all took off at the same time inside the truck, would it get lighter? :p
