Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme

@DavyBoy, the Megahalems do look cool i agree espcially as the marking on the top of it kinda look like the decepticon logo!!(im a massive transformers fan). The only reason i hav'nt bought the Megahalems is because i couldnt decide which 120mm fans to get to attach to it, im looking for silent fans that shift enought air to keep the cpu nice and cool.

Get 2 Akasa Apaches mate, those seem to be the fans to use atm.. gonna be using them on my rad in my custom WC loop..

I am going to buy this and test

Shocker. I really hope you're selling off all these coolers once you're finished with them, you cant be that far off funding an entire water loop with the spares now.

Don't have a review for you, but second the opinion to just get the megalahems or true.

Air Flow: 90.6 CFM
Fan Noise: 16 - 20dBA

Impressive, but I don't believe those noise ratings, 90.6 CFM is going to be louder than 20dBA with a 120mm fan surely?

Any chance for OC.uk to ship this cooler to Finland?

I'm in a huge need of a cooler right now as I already placed my Socket 1156 order from Germany today minus a cooler because there's no interesting 1156 options out there for me right now (no brackets to some good existing coolers either) but this one certainly caught my eye being a previous Tuniq Tower 120 owner. I'm aiming for like 4.0~4.2GHz overclock on the i7-860 & Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 which is why I need decent performance which I don't think this cooler will have a problem with.

Sorry folks, I haven't got these cpu cooler yet but I am going to order this week as it knock off £10 offer via ocuk this week. I will do the test next week and post back.

I think that's a huge understatement!

and

Hi Guys, little update. Review is not published but these are my preliminar tests.
Had to use CM V8 and V10 and haven´t checked Sunbeam CCF yet. I would like to have the H50 in my hands to try also.

Noctua NH-U12P (NF-P12 fan) Idle 25 Load 45
CM V8 (Stock fan) Idle 25 Load 46
CM V10 (Stock fan) Idle 24 Load 39
Tuniq Extreme 120 (Stock fan min rpm) Idle 24 Load 40
Tuniq Extreme 120 (Stock fan medium rpm) Idle 24 Load 36
Tuniq Extreme 120 (Stock fan max rpm) Idle 23.5 Load 34

I have yet to try Sunbeam CCF but this one doesn´t perform as good as the CMV10, so make the maths.

All ambient temp 22 with AMD Phenom II X4 925 @ 2.8GHz and CnQ enabled. No case, but Tech Station.

Those are the only 2 comparisions that exist yet and looks a bit too good to be true as beating or matching CM V10 that is like double the price!? WHAT? Just saying don't take this cooler too lightly, could be the next champ which Tuniq Tower 120 was for a little while when it was released back then. This is why I'm walking around in circles atm cuz I don't know if I should buy it or not cuz I live in Finland and shipping is like £20 and ordering only a cooler from abroad would make it have to be really good. If it's as good as those 2 comparisions hints, paying 70 EUR from UK to Finland incl shipping doesn't seem like any stretch tho.

My best alternative socket 1156 cooling would be a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus & AC MX-3 thermal paste from Finland for 54 EUR incl shipping, so only 16 EUR cheaper for probably quite a lot less performance. So I'd be very pleased if any1 that bought Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme could share some light cuz the offer ends today. :/
