*** Colin McRae DiRT 2 ***

Love doing the replays at the end of each race. Looks amazing also all the of time. Can't remember the exact track name, but it was in the jungle/desert. Some of the best graphics i've seen on the 360.

Just went to cockpit view on my £60 and my XBox Live avatar us dangling down from the rear view mirror. Thats a cool touch.

Very pleased with it, got the ps3 version for ease at the moment, (having to hook up my wheel to the PC every time just isnt happening at the moment). Excellent game, liked the demo, cant help but think when forza and gran turisimo come out it will never ever see the light of day again but its great for now.

The Rally stages are so tough to fine the difference of 4 seconds (playing on savage). Loving it so far though. Great GFX, great pace and great soundtrack.

Yeah I loved that. Thought it would just be a generic avatar shape but its a toy version of me! :D

Just had my first few races online. Got the "beat 7 people online achievement" (Rush Hour) on my first race and I the lowest I have finished is 2nd out of 6 races.

Where is the cheapest place you can buy it from?

The Internet (chances are anywhere will be a competitor).

Reached about Level 26 now and have some further thoughts on the game.
  • Domination events suck, the scoring system seems totally unfathomable, and it's incredibly frustrating IMO.
  • Lots of different locations, but the tracks do get reused a bit too much.
  • Why only now after several hours playing have I unlocked my first 'special' car? (Metro)
  • Shame UK only got used for the crappy Battersea Rally X events. Would have been much nicer to have used countryside rally-style tracks.
  • There's no real need to use any other car than 1 for each discipline. There's nearly always one obvious choice that's instantly available, leaving the other vehicles redundant.
Still very good though, particularly like Utah as the stages are epic :D

I love this game, but the amount of corner cutting you have to do to win the rally stages on the higher difficulties is ridiculous. Whats the point of having a track if the AI just bounces cross country..

Right, yes or no?

I LOVE Grid, LOVED Dirt, will I love Dirt 2?

Is the handling as bad as it was in the demo? Twitchy?

Is this worth 40 quid?

Come on, whats the verdict?

No, it handles just like in the demo, thankfully. How anyone can prefer the absolutely dire non-handling of the original dirt is beyond me
