BMW 116i M Sport

Yea but most people who need to ask the internet about 1.6 litre BMW's do not need a fast car. They are not into fast cars and their idea of a fast car is their mates Golf TDI which 'really flies'. Therefore why saddle themselves with huge running costs for no benefit?

Was that response directed at me? If so, I agree but experience of friends or colleagues who have bought something with a low powered 1.6 or 1.8 and normally on the basis they can get more toys in the car (which is the very reason I looked at the 116i myself) have ultimately suffered a bit of buyers remorse. I only got the mondeo myself as it had more toys in it than any 118i or 120i I would have been looking at.....coupled with that engine :p

I'd prefer to know what spec the two cars are, what colour they are, what condition they are in, etc etc.

But I'd be more interested in the 120d.

PDC on the 120d, but I wouldn't go for either.

Both have the smokers package, which would indicate that both previous owners smoked in their cars, which means I'd not want either.

However, even if they both didn't have the smokers package, I'd be looking for more spec. Sat-nav, leather, etc etc.

so what about smoker package. smokers package is free optional from new. i dont smoke but if i buy car i couldnt mind to have it as its free?

sorry Comfort package mean there will be PDC

for leather and sat nav the price will be rocket high. maximum spends is 16k
these two car is only 12miles from me. i do not want to travel 200miles+ to glasgow & wales

I thought smokers package was standard, anyway I am fairly sure one of our cars has been smoked in, the only way I figured out was the lighter was used and there was a cigar cutter in the boot.

TBH it didnt make a difference.

Then drop the retarded milage and age restrictions and get a well equipped car instead.

I have noticed that the budget has increased as well. I am guessing this is because the budget is actually a monthly payment?

Get a cheaper car with better spec, with lower monthly payment, or shorter repayment schedule. You'll save money that way.

How about you ignore the rubbish spouted from a womans mouth, as women know sweet FA about cars.

If you take heed of this advice then you may as well cut your danglies off and live in your room with World of Warcraft forever.

I noticed and forgot to mention. So what if the insurance is cheaper? The car is worse and £1000 more expensive. Money that could be spent on insurance...

Looking at those 2, I'd go for the 120d cause of the engine - however there are FAR better cars that can be had for that kind of money (even a 330ci!).

Put it this way, a car might have lower miles but it might have spent those miles doing short trips in town that causes greater wear to the car, I'd rather have a car that's done more miles but cruising down the motorway. Cars don't magically fall apart at 100,000 miles ya know.

This. Why limit yourself to a 1 series? Its a good car in it's class, but what process of deduction has lead you to decide this is the only car worth considering?
