Found a safe but lengthy way of farming 2-2 if you dont have soulsucker? death cloud, only does 6 pts of dmg per second but lasts till the bears are dead, so you can cast and go and kill other mobs or progress further down the lvl casting death cloud.

I don't like world five at all. Almost constant poisoning and very slow movement. Any good tactics for killing those big dudes in 5-2?

Equip the black armour it has high poison resistance along with the poison resistance ring and you can run around no problem for a while without being poisoned, the big guys are easy as long as u fight them on ground u can move freely on... hard on 5-2 but there are a few places... once they swing just roll around them and attack from behind... they take ages to turn around and you can pick them off before they get another attack off... also try magic or arrows for a distance kill as they move slow and get stuck in the swamp a lot

The Gloom armour is what you want, be wary of the BP on that level (to the left of the first giant troll). As for killing the giant trolls fire storm works a treat especially if you have the Kris knife & monks hat equipped

On the normal play, while running thru the swamp i mainly used my bow and the thief ring, i got to just where i could see a very faint line or just the 'glow' from thier eyes in the darkness and just fired until i hit them, left the aim in that position and just fired every 5-10 seconds, very slow way of doing it, but they cant find you when u have the ring so its also a very safe way of doing it, as for posion just make sure you have the adjuictoirs shield that will regen your health so slows down the poison effect till u can quaff 1 of those flowers.

Alternatively equip the miracle cure if you have it, as that saves you having to have so many flowers.

OK, i got to the boss but he covered me in black goo and i died. I'll get him later tonight. By the way, which spells/miracles would you recommend i get from the boss' souls since you cant see whats good before you buy. I already have anti magic field.

Spells - Firestorm, Soulight, Fireball, Death Cloud & Total Protection are all very usefull.

Miracles - Cure, Anti magic field, Evacuate & Rage of god are usefull.

If you plan to use magic I would highly recommend equipping the Kris knife & keeping the Monks hat to hand as both increase your magic damage by a decent amount.

Alternatively the Light weapon from Freke or the Cursed weapon from Yuria mixed with a decent weapon (Keel Smasher/Dozer Axe) is great if your magic isn't very strong or you don't have items like the Monks hat yet.

I didn't realise the kris knife increased magic damage and I'll have to look to see if I have the monks hat. My magic stat is at 26 but magic feels underpowered compared to melee, I maybe just need new spells. Any point in increasing luck btw since it costs quite a bit to raise my stats and i don't want to waste my time.

Also, is anybody else sick of reading all those messages "this is harsh, evaluate me"?

Luck increases drop rate and i think there a weapon that uses the luck stat for dmg?

Take Soul Arrow. Then hide behind the torches, popping out to cast spells

finally managed to get time to get back into this

Took out the Storm God no worries

80k easy. And can get around 18k for maybe 30 seconds killing with the storm ruler when im farming 4-3

Will finally be able to use the white bow real soon

Am a bit annoyed though coz i manage dto turn world 4 pure white when i killed the storm god but when i went back in to get the Makoto sword (which is grabbable in pure white WT) i idiotically managed to fall off a ledge due in part to the stupid target lock system aarghh!

im about lvl 65 btw. Heres a question guys: what attributes should i ignore and what should i be pumping loads into? (its expensive!)

It depends on your playstyle... I have lots in will and magic and vitality as well as luck for extra drops altho i aint seeing a massive difference but i like magic and ive got another character who is melee type with lots in str dex and vitality...

What type of character do you play?

well im a knight who uses magic

I also want to us e miracles but i gave the crow my talisman of god so i cant cast miracles anymore

litle more farming then its time to go hand to hand with my old nemesis flamelurker ohhh yeeah

I think you can move easier without heavy armour on, so don't wear your heavy armour when fighting that giant pain in the **** flamelurker. I may have imagined this though...

edit: also I think pumping your magic stats seem to be more worthwhile after reaching about 30 strength

well the **** killed me again. ill try without armour coz total prot dont seem to be stopping him. Basically 2 hits and im dead. I refuse to fight him any other way than melee.

I take you've checked and you can't get the sword now? As I'm sure suicide doesn't change your WT but am not 100% sure?

As he's pretty fast I find the best aproach is to attack him from behind and when he goes to do his close range fire attack roll away, rinse & repeat.

Obviously this will be a lot easier with light armour, and even easier if you attack him with magic keeping your distance at all times. If your going to melee use a quick attacking sharp weapon so you can get away with ease.
