As above... I regularly find myself wanting to destroy stuff at the moment, and would prefer it wasn't valuable belongings, myself, or someone else.

EDIT: I'll get in first with the "bash one out" comment seeing as it's OcUK.

Well, what are you angry about?

Look into breathing/stretching exercises. you'd be surprised how well these two work to release stress, tension and anger.

I like to close out the world, and spend some time selfishly.

I'd recommend taking a nice long hot bath. Or setting some time aside to read either some good fiction, or something historical - avoid current events.

I also find the ritual associated with making a nice cup of tea from tea leaves helps.

Something I won't recommend is smoking. I don't think the cigarettes in themselves help, but I do benefit from taking 5 minutes away from my desk, getting some fresh air and not doing something. Perhaps you could get the same benefit by going for a short walk, or the like.

Just in general... it can a whole range of things, I'm sure it's just a temporary thing but I'd prefer to be able to control it!

I'll look into breathing exercises, and also a sport or something... punching kittens sounds like a great idea but the owners might be slightly horrified.

No one has mentioned masturbation yet.

/facepalm it was you that mentioned it. :o

Personally I try to just do anything that doesn't involve the thing that made me angry.

Watching a TV show of something you know is funny works well for me.

Platinum87's method may work though. Eatting fishfingers calms him right down.

*sorry.

*EDIT*

Best part of the video above is where he walks in to his closet, closes the door on himself then a few seconds later exits once again.
