Batman: Arkham Asylum

Does anyone know of a way to enable Physx and keep performance on an ATi card, a bit riduculous that we are now getting forced into hardware choice and gaming!

Check out this post in the graphics card forums:

Looks like nvidia have made sure that software implementations of physX only use a single thread. Using a tweak to make it use all available threads leads to very good framerates on a core-i7. Cheeky...

Just completed this today (not got all challenges done but the story is completed)

Awesome game, nice graphics, good fun, the fights are pretty fun
No bugs I came across, well coded game, no crashes etc :)

For those sitting on the sidelines, it's well worth the investment imo, one of the few games I actually bothered to play through.

hopefully its a sign to come for future comic book/hero games, all the others were **** :)

This game was just amazing.

Playing it while I am ill with a bad cold so I died quite a bit due to poor concentration / coughing fits :( but it is without a doubt one of my fav games in AGES.

*REALLY* hope they make a sequel, it is one of the few games I can say that I never thought "Wow.... this part sucks!"

The voice acting, the cinematics, the fighting system - everything was perfect. If I wasn't feeling like rubbish I would be down a store and buying Batman comics because suddenly I wanna read them! :p

What card would you need to run this maxed out with physx enabled? I have the 8800gts 512, but i dont want to play it if i have to run it on lower gfx, so im thinking i'll need to wait until xmas when i get a new card.

How do you save the game cos im fed up of starting at the begining every time

I am assuming you have a windows live profile? If so, it auto saves the game everytime something major happens or you enter a new area.

Look for a whirling icon at the bottom right (I think) part of your screen and you will see when it saves. :)

I have a 295gtx and can run it with everything on high and physx on normal. If I turn physics on to high I get slowdown in high physics areas(like Scarecrow sections)

It's quite short imho. Rushed-feeling ending as usual.

It's only short if you miss out on all of the riddles, etc. It's easily longer than most games. I didn't feel it was a rushed ending. I thought it was a great ending to a cracking game and leaves it all setup perfectly for a sequel.
