Search your car if he wants to? Because he wants to know if i pointed a laser pen onto the shopwall, which i didn't.

no. he'd need a warrant and as he isn't a policeman... in fact, even if a security guard asks to search you're bag you can say no, he is however allowed to detain you should he suspect you of theft until the police can attend.

Why would he possibly have the power to search your car? In any case, why did the guard care if you shone a laser point on to a <shock horror> wall.

No, if he did such a thing then report him to his employers so he can be trained on what he is and isn't allowed to do

What about random searches on the way out of a shop, checking what you have matches your receipt? I'm sure I saw this happen the other day.

Because it would pose a threat to staff ofc! Could have been a sniper

He goes around acting like he is a policeman !

Hes asked if it was me, i said no. He then said well you wont mind if i do a vehicle check then?

I told him hes not checking my car and i walked off, i've now been reported as i work there to.

Thats acceptable as the security guard is there to make sure people arent stealing from the shop.
