I was walking around that temple thing in Vereton last night for about 15mins trying to work out how to get to the top then realised I have wings!! haha love it.

The queues are really anoying during the week though..loosing about 2 hours a night of playtime to them grrr

Ahh the wonders of having a younger brother at home to log us in early!

Loving this game so far, Never played Doac so cant compare, But this game is a lot like L2, Its great! Only just got lvl 10 yesterday but enjoying every minute. there are a couple of things i would like to know if i can sort out tho..
#1 Can you turn off the camera 'spring'?
#2 can you move your ui anymore that top and bottom? Would be nice to have my HP bar and my target at the bottom but i only seem to be able to move them both to the top or one at the top and one at the bottom.
#3 Is there a way in grp to make it stop coming up with a box everytime i pick up a quest item saying thats a bindable item 'yes' or 'no'? I think this might be because we have it set to FFA loot option??

Thats all i can think off right now!

Not sure if this is allowed, but here goes nothing.

I'm thinking of selling my Aion copy on. It's one of the 'limited' steel cased versions. Been activated for 4 days now. Reason for sale is because I don't think I can stomach the grind coming up. If anyone is interested, check my trust and drop me an email.

If I can't get rid of it, I'll just play it casually over the next month.

No idea if its allowed here or not, but maybe an idea to mention what level the characters are too? And what classes? Might be a factor in someones interest in buying it.

Items can only be bought/sold in MM.
You currrently need more posts than you have at the moment in order to access it.

Yep EU prices were so much more just got em all over here.
and of course with them splitting servers needed em for friends in the states too.
Looks like timecards might be back on again too, EU and US cost for EU Aion is silly.

Yeah i noticed that, My bro got his key for $30 and prolly wasnt even the cheapest place and the cheapest i could find was £25 in the uk.. And when i rang the highstreet just out of interest only to find out its £40! thats proper rofl.. (i Actually almost burst out laughing on the phone aswell)

For most of theose copies (other than the 2 CEs) I paid £22.49inc. I think6 copies were £24.99.

Ended up with about £18 from cashback offers n stuff and £29 in reward points lol

just started this. played for around an hour, and got to level 5.

playing on the only server w/o a queue i could see, Kahrun.

lvl 31 soon 32 so far and really digging it more now the leveling is a bit too much but overall the game has that oldschool feel that a lot of newer mmos dont seem to have any more , cant wait till the high lvl abyss seiges tho

joined a legion on telemachus asmo side called Animus theyve been running fire temple a few days now and getin a lot of golden weps, i still need to get my attunement done :rolleyes:

So guys is this game the real deal?

I have completely disregarded anything about it, casting it off as another failboat mmo - i.e conan & war.

However I just found out it's been out for a year in korea, with a load of subscribers. Then I read a cool article on how the pvp actually requires skill, then i found out the best thing it's made by the same people that did guild wars. These factors certainly set it apart.

But seriously, how is it? Conan and war were getting lots of good user reviews at this point, then a few weeks later everyone realised it was a pile of crap.

I'll be buying this game in a couple of weeks for sure, just waiting for my friend who's starting his PHD at York to settle in so we can start together. Will be looking for an invite to the OcUK guild I suspect!
Used to play WoW to a ridiculously hardcore level, but this will be a far more casual 1-2 hours a day thing for me now, just don't have the time anymore.

I'm so excited about starting another MMO, burnt out of WoW at the start of SW and swore I'd never play another MMO, but I think now the timing is right to mess about with one again.

I've seen a lot of wildly differing prices both online and on the highstreet for the game, where's the cheapest place to pick up a copy guys?

Can't wait!

I consider Aion to be better than both AoC and WAR. I think it has all the ingredients to be a success, not on a WoW scale, but a success with good longevity.

It is however much more grindy than WoW, AoC or WAR. It takes time to level, quite a bit of time at the higher levels. It also has a strong emphasis on PvP and the chances are that you WILL be attacked and killed while you are PvEing. Those factors are what will stop it becoming as massive a hit as WoW was, because many people wont like those things. But for those players who came from a history of EQ, AC, UO and Daoc..its like a blast from the past and suits quite well.

I agree with Tombstone, this MMO is definatly not for everyone but it has some points that set it apart.

PvP is my thing. Decent competitive pvp. Grinding is fine, and getting ganked is also cool with me.

However when conan came out people said the same things "it's not for everyone, you will get ganked etc..."
