@khushy, i been there before mate! Dont worry ;)

And i feel safer in nottingham than other places which maybe have a better rep?

Shame the ghost tours are on Saturdays! :(

dude, that's not been the case for years.
There's plenty of fit women around, but also plenty of drunken letches slobbering over them.

Why do people always mention the Trip when talking about pubs in Nottingham? The Bell in the square is older, nicer and has better beer. Other than that having lived there for a couple of years I'd say the place is a dump do a quick round of the Robin Hood attractions then get out before the sunsets and the loonies come out. Saturday night out in Nottingham is a sight to behold just beware everyone is looking to fight anyone for any reason and you should survive.

Apparently...

Bell: 1437AD
Jerusalem: 1189AD

Anyway, prefer the Malt Cross myself :)

Went last week, highly recommended. Need to book well in advance though.

Ace isn't it? Love the atmosphere there, really relaxed and the food is always great.

My mate (who is a butcher) supplies the meat to Sat Bains........his meat is top drawer

That the place on Mansfield road? Need to go there sometime, my mate loved his meat (OK I'll stop there).

Avoid the city centre on a weekend, horrible place, unless you're in a restaurant.

City Centre gets full of stag/hen does, locals don't stay round there, head down Lace Market / Hockley and to a lesser extent Chapel Bar

And no visit to Nottibgham would be complete without going to Dusk Till Dawn :)

Hooters is rubbish - overrated, you can see more bewbs in town. if you stay away from the usual places, like all the weatherspoons around market square and the like, you shouldn't get any trouble. it's not as bad as everyone makes out.

i also like the bars at the top of canning circus, the sir john b, the hand in heart (i think, it's just down from 1877 - has a gallery upstairs plus loads of good wine and spirits), plus then you've got cast which is next to the theatre, they usually have something on.
