HTC Hero, coming July on Orange and T-Mobile, makes me want!

Got a gel case from the bay for a few quid and its pretty good actually, tells better than silicon to touch, and IMO makes it nicer to handle. I'll get some pics up if anyone wants
 
I'd like to see them. I got a gel case, but the fit is slightly off, so that the edges of the top and bottom of the phone are not particularly snug.
 
that is a much better fit than mine, do you mind emailing me the place/auction where you got that from? My email is in trust.
 
I like the matt sort of look on the gel ones like mine, but I don't like the thickness of it, makes the phone a lot more bulky than it really is...but I'm keeping it on there as I often drop mine. :p

Which gel one do you have? Not seen any matte ones? It does make it feel a bit bigger I agree, but I think its easier to type with it being a bit wider.
 
I have the same one as Scottland but its a clear black case on my white hero and it looks quite nice. The fit is awesome for a £3 case, as on Invaders one it looks like the sides on the front of the case are not against the phone where as they are on my case. The fit is great very snug and i like the feel of the case as you can get a proper grip on it.

It's a nice snug, flush fit on mine, the picture doesn't show it properly, this one shows it better.

I'm not really a fan of shiny computer things, much prefer matte black so this one suits well. :)
 
Going to purchase the HTC Hero on mobiles.co.uk, looking at the

600 mins Any
Network Anytime + Unlimited Texts
+ 500MB Data

package for £20.00 per month, the +500MB data does this include internet for such things as email etc or do i have to pay extra? if so any deal you guys recommend?
 
Loving my Hero, I do find the OS a little laggy but its not hindering my performance really, bit choppy sometimes, I'm not running a lot of scenes or programs btw.

One problem I have is I have linked all my contacts to facebook, and selected add picture/bday, its seems to have done this but when I view my contacts I see no pictures, anyone else having this problem?
 
My hero won't import sim contacts now, any ideas? Trying menu - import - phone but it only copys 4 out of 96 :/

Sorted the problem, had to go to applications - manage and clear data then tried again and worked, but still once I link the contact with facebook and tick add photo/bday its not showing a picture.

just gone for this deal as well m8 :D also with an 8Gb class 6 micro card to start with (will upgrade later if needs must)

cant wait to start tinkering :D
