FFS, Fallout 3 killed my elite, chucking out an E74 error after playing it for 2 hours no stop. Not too mad just gutting that got Fifa 10 and not going to get chance to play it. Worst possible time for a 360 to die what with Forza 3 coming out and MW2, only pre ordered Forza 3 last night :(

Do MS offer the 3 year warranty on Elites? As I cant afford a silly repair price.

Receipt is dated at 14/12/2007 so not quite 2 years old and receipt price has it at £299.99

Should be fine as far as i know they extended the E74 error across all 360 types. At least the people of megaton are safe for a while lol

Its been vertical since day one and not skipped a beat, just went, trying to kill the Nukelark and the whole screen went blocky thousands of blokes, thought my LDC tv had blown for a min.

Internet is not so clear on it, hope its true, my launch 360 died from RROD and never bothered to get it fixed still have it in the loft, 2 360s in 4 years :/

My elite died 2ish weeks ago, it was a zepher.

UPS collected it on wed the 23rd, and they tried to deliver it on fri the 2nd, only took them 9 days to take it away, sort it and return it :D Well impressed!

On mines they changed the motherboard, its now a jasper :) Tho i did have the RRoD but as mentioned, e74 errors are also covered in the 3 year thing!

I didn't think that you could just swap a HDD like that on the PS3. Forgive me if I'm wrong.

Yeah it just pops out of the side. Just like I did before I popped in my £39.99 250gb a few months ago. simple ;) why didn't MS think of that ? :o Oh wait, they did think about it but ....... (£$)
