**The Dragon Age Origins Thread **

Can anyone plese point a website that ships internationally or in Europe that l can pre-order the collectors edition. All the websites l could find sell the normal edition. Anyone who has managed to find a website that has the collectors edition and ships to Europe?

Just notice that as is the case with most games in Impulse, it's only available in North America even if it gives you the price in your local currency.

Bioware developer just announced earlier today on their official board that it is indeed coming to Steam, details to follow most likely next week.

Ah right...I read about that happening on the forums. I'll probably get it from D2D or get a hard copy. GOG don't seem to have it either, although I suppose there's time yet.

20 minute game play video here for you to watch. You'll have to put up with a couple of annoying guys talking over it though.

F-bomb drops about 12mins in if any kids are nearby at the time, like my 6yr old cousin was, time for a quick blast of Ghostbusters to distract him :)

This game sounds so good. I'm not going to compare it to any other games and go in with an open mind and it is going to be awesome.

There's a lot more than that to do, battles are supposed to be more tactical - It's not a hack 'n slasher. Have you never played Baldur's Gate (or Icewind Dale)? It works pretty well.

Yeah I played Baldur's Gate years ago, however after playing games like Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout and Mass Effect, I much prefer the combat control you have over your character. I'm not sure I can go back to style used in Dragon Age. :(

Well you'll just have to wait for TES:V or ME2 then :p

Funny thing is I never could get into these party based tactical rpgs back in the day....last few years though I just love them, so I've gone the opposite to you.

Ah okay fair enough. I love that style of combat myself - especially tactical control of magic users, which should be even more fun now that spells interact with each other - so I'm looking forward to going back to it. I'm actually not that keen on the combat in Morrowind, Oblivion and Mass Effect :p (though I still enjoyed those games). FO3 was fine though since it was sort-of a shooter (moreso than ME).

So you click attack an enemy, then sit there watching them fight? That's the immersion blown for me. :(

Have you watched more of the gameplay videos, it's hardly click and sit back. Constantly taking control of the different chars to queue up the correct skills, moving your guys so you don't aoe them.

a lot better than the likes of oblivion which was pretty boring combat.

I hope all you RPG fans took the time to play Drakensang. One of the best things ive played for years.

Yeah, great game.

I'd just got really lucky and killed the Rat-Queen under the city & went back to the surface, saved and never loaded it again.

Put W7 on a few months ago and didn't back saves up :( Can't really be bothered starting again now.

Still playing BGII to this day, BioWare haven't let me down so far, no doubt it will be a great game.

Taken the odd risk and pre-ordered this game..

Never played the original Baldurs Gate or Neverwinter Nights and diddnt really enjoy the second one, plus it seems im only just a wee bit over the minimum specs for it!

Fingers crossed it'll work and I like it :)
