Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

Yep it's there alright, played the mission again on co-op last night and the rifle is great fun! Also near the lighthouse there is an outpost (looks like a ruined castle spire) that has an ammo box holding an M16 and M4, both are pretty good fun :)

Good man, sniping fun for me tonight then :)

Odd. I am currently on Win 7, but had it working fine on Vista not long ago. These 2 OS's should make it very easy.

Am not at my home pc now, but if you go into the net connections you should see your wireless connection there, adn with your xbox plugged into one of the wired connectors one of your wired connections (Assuming there are more than one) should say connected.

All you should need to go is select the two of them and click on "Bridge".

Then when you go back onto the xbox you will need to reset your internet connection and you should be fine...

I've enjoyed the game most in coop, despite it's issues but some of those issues are starting to cheese me off... i.e. the Medic getting stuck in the ground after healing someone in the standing position, it's happened twice in twenty healing attempts. Playing coop with bro I made sure he was crouched or prone before healing and he did twenty without getting stuck, so perhaps it's the stance that causes the bug. The first time I got stuck ffallic shot me in the face and it was a mortal wound, the second time he shot me in the lower leg and it was instant death

Multiplay, I can't detect games although i can quick join. I've played once for about ten minutes and I'm not going there again, perhaps it was a lag issue but i found myself putting whole clip's in to a target with no effect.

It could have been so much more :(

Squark, here's the XBox port's that we spoke of but didn't know off hand:
TCP 80
UDP 88
UDP 3074
TCP 3074
UDP 53
TCP 53
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908874
EDIT: ah, i forgot that since then you'd found that it had no NAT restrictions.

This sounds really good, can you share maps or co-op with the maps on PC (I have it on PC, but sneaked into this thread ;))

Yep you can easily share them with mates. The only thing is it doesn't automatically download mission files for people who connect to your server and don't have the files. You have to manually send them to people so they can put the files into their DR dirs. Bit annoying but it will probably get patched. Also, the files are tiny.

The core gameplay is brilliant, it's just let down by so many flaws.

What's the point of the massive island when we only have 11 missions to play around with?

What's the point in all the vehicles when you can only use them once in a certain mission?

Another gripe for me is the obvious no weapon loadouts. This is especially bothersome in coop when the other 3 guys usually have guns with just ironsights. It's honestly a pain in the ass trying to engage in over 600m warfare with just ironsights. Give us the option to add a scope.

And in my opinion 11 campaign missions is a disgrace. They aren't exactly ground breaking in objectives either. Hip Shot was the most fun for me, then the last 2 missions. But other than that, they were pretty basic missions which any decent editor could have come up with. Also, certain missions where you were given a time limit. I wont go into detail in fear of spoilers but again, why make the game even shorter by doing this? It's just baffling.

Again it's such a shame for me, cos when you're in the middle of a firefight and you hear all the bullets wizzing past you, it really is great. Just let down by these points in my opinion.

Well you pretty much hit the nail on the head regarding the major flaws of this game.

The same things bug me massively, the lack of equipment layout is forgivable, just about because you can pick up other weapons.

I think people will also be hard pressed to disagree with your comments about the scale of the missions. Mahoosive map, but your mission area is usually within a fairly confined space.

Finally the MP just plain stinks, much to my disappointment :( The lack of customisable loadouts here seem to be a massive swing and a miss by Codmasters. Couple that in with lack of real defined fighting areas, a buggy MP system, poor AI and lack of other human players to play against create a pretty bland experience.

Despite all this I still love playing the singleplayer and even more so online co-op, go figure :D

just been having some fun with the little bird, i managed to get it on auto pilot a few feet off the ground then got out, so its flying unmanned lol.

i can reach it and get back in too.

can only seem to do it with a little bird, the other choppers just fly straight up when i turn auto pilot on.

What mission is that taken from?

Gutted that you where still unable to connect.. It might worth hosting a game to see if someone can connect to you.

Yea, though I think it may have an issue with who Im connecting to, because I connected to a co-op with Wyrdo immediately.
Strange game

I've had nothing but connection problems on this game. It keeps me logged in for 15 mins then kicks me off no matter what I'm doing. Annoying, having to wait till me and my mate can get together with two ps3's and two TV's for some lan coop. It wont get touched for weeks starting this weekend with uncharted 2 coming out :(

Add me to PSN mate, can see if you can join in co-op later? Me and a mate are going to continue the campaign later tonight.
