Woman arrested for drenching kids

bit like keying your car, it's a one off.
Is this the kind of pathetic PC society we live in where a few kids prising the badges off cars with a screwdriver causes such uproar?

financial damage & vandalism

Getting wet isn't.

Let the kids work to pay the hundreds in damage back... Or at least hold the parents responsible. I don't bloody go to work so some little **** can do damage to my car and make me work for ****.
Plus if they're soaked they're going to miss school.
Oh the horror, strange kids if they don't like a day off...

Unless the muddy water ruins the clothes and bags.

And 1 day worth of clothing costs hundreds to repair?
Come on, clothes ruined by muddy water? Put it in the washing machine and it'll be like new...

The average kid's clothes do not cost remotely as much as the average car.

Prize ******* (hope that isnt classed as swearing), hope he gets the book thrown at him. Going through water deep enough to aquaplane within meters of children at speed is bad enough, but when that volume of water is thrown up, it can easily carry stones and grit with in, real funny if someone gets blinded.

I honestly can't believe how many people on here are going "it's only a laugh innit", yeah its all fun and games until it happens to you or someone you care about, some proper goons around tonight.

Bit of a problem if the parents can't go to work because the kids are home and thus lose earnings or there was an exam.

My suit and coat for high school cost more than £100 and were in fact dry cleaning only.

Ruining someones clothes is in fact criminal damage.

Take up a payed day off ? Or swap with someone? Don't know anyone who can take care of your kid ? Tbh I'm pretty conservative with this, imo 2 parents should not go work at the same time, one should always be available.

100 quid? A new paint job costs what, 6 times as much or more ?
Cars themselves may cost over 50k...

You can't compare clothes with cars imo...

Ruining someones clothes is in fact criminal damage.
Getting clothes wet is rarely ''ruining them''.
Keying a car is always ruining them...

The equiv to doing to a car, what happened to the kid in the vid, is throwing muddy water at the car...

In the real world that's not always possible, you can't seriously expect people to take time off work just in case some **** soaks their kids.

Irrelevant, it's criminal damage just the same.

Water will ruin clothes that are dry cleaning only, hence the label "dry cleaning only".

Straw man.

No, as I said, I'm conservative, I expect mummy not to be at work when daddy is, and daddy not to be at work when mummy is...
Or make them change their clothes? How hard is it to change the clothes and dump the kids at school anyways 5 -30 mins later ?

And what's the chance of people wearing dry cleaning only clothes, remember my location, kids wear normal clothes to school here none of that uniform rubbish. Some jeans and a cotton t-shirt will not get ruined by getting them wet...

That's like saying stealing one t-shirt ( or uniform, whatever) is the same as stealing a brand new BMW...

Replacing even a ridiculously expensive uniform like you had, will not require you to work as much for the cash as for repairing or replacing your car...
I still don't know how you can compare wetting some clothes to doing some serious damage to someones expensive pride and joy...

Criminal damage is measured in CASH...

This was in Plymouth...

I give up, it's criminal damage and reckless driving simple as. It could also have resulted in loss of earnings, hypothermia and missed exams. I can't believe people are complaining that the police are taking action against him.

Unlike this which ''could'' have resulted, keying someones car DOES result in financial damage.
