First build - help needed

Hi,

I've just build my first PC, and it succesfully booted into bios first time. However, the power LED and HDD LED are not working, any ideas?

Spec:

i7 860
Asus P7P55D Pro
ATI 5850
Lian Li P50B

have you plugged them in? really small wires, 2 pin, from case to mobo header

yep defo the wires from case to mobo and there fiddley to put in lol

Also check the polarity, I often get them wrong.

Yeah, the little wires are labelled power LED/HDD LED, and are plugged into a white connector which then plugs into the motherboard. I've taken it out and put back in and still nothing. :confused:

Change the + & - around.

I wish the DVD drive was actually black rather than grey, but it's not the end of the world. Very happy with the Lian-li finish and ease of installation. Very happy with it for my first build.

As for CPU temperature, in the bios it reads between 25-30 degrees celcius. Though I can't test any more yet as I'm waiting for W7 to release next week - Don't want to put Vista on it.
