If you actually pay a modicum of attention to your significant other then it's pretty easy to spot when they've had their hair done and a small compliment pays dividends.

As for the excuse of being drunk, In my experience you don't do things you'd never do sober drunk, you do things that you'd normally stop yourself doing - from your comments about your girlfriends size it seems that, to you, she still needs to lose some to be the person you first went for.

Hmmmm Was talking to the dear old mother last night, and her sentiments on the whole things was “good on ya son”, and she agreed that my comment of she has a large ass was fairly accurate. She has never liked her anyhow. I still remember how my mum called her “council trash” last year.. Hmm ok.!!

Last night called her a fat lazy useless girl that looks to have got a few home truths that evening, but then as they don’t get along I don’t even know why I told my mum. Not like I was expecting her to say “oh no, that’s bad you’d better do all you can to smooth this over”.. lol but I didn’t expect her to say “lets just hope the stupid girl doesn’t ever call you again”… Erm thanks mum.. no love lost there eh?

To be honest, I’ve not actually heard from her since Monday evening, I sent her a text etc yesterday and no reply. Nah, she’ll come around and as for my mum and her, it’s their issues, not mine. When the gf contacts me, I’ll take her shopping etc but I’m not going to stop enjoying myself. And that’s all I really did.

Well to be fair to you, if you see someone everyday/very often then you tend not to notice weight loss/gain much because it's a very gradual thing and so your mind doesn't really see it. It's not until someone else points it out or you look at photos that you realise it!

Exactly this.

My other half put on a lot of weight after uni and the first year we lived down in London. Got up to a very large 14. I started to notice but only nearer the end of the year.

Once we moved back and back to our parents houses she hit the gym and sorted out her eating. I sometimes didn't see her for 2/3 weeks, and on those days when I did it lokoed like it had been pulled off her.

I complement her all the time now and make use of her much improved figure

Don't worry about her, she sounds a bit bonkers tbh.
