EA in "We're a bunch of cocks" shocker.

Edit: Although wtf are you talking about? The Digital Delux (UK) has The Wicked Oath, Memory Band and Blood Dragon Armour. As well as the 2 DLCs.

£39.99 is too much for me though. I'll be pre-ordering the delux from elsewhere and worrying about the DLC later.

In fact, it looks like the additional £10 is for Wardens Keep.

They can sod off, I'm sure by the time I finish the main quest once, the DLC will be freely available. Ordered it from cdwow.
 
The Wicked Oath ring is also showing up on the normal Steam version ... so you're right, it looks like a tenner for The Wardens Keep, music and wallpapers.

How much is The Wardens Keep going to be on it's own?

The reason those three other goodies are missing is because Game have got exclusive rights to them in the UK. How crap is that???
 
Ah.

There are a bunch of exclusive items for different retailers. Steam have the Wicked Oath, and The high street store has something else, EA somethign else etc etc. It's quite interesting actually. you choose where to buy based on what item you want.

Not sure what the EA store is playing at, but yeah, the Delux version on Steam is the same as the normal version, bar Wardens Keep. I'm not sure if Warden's Keep is worth a tenner, though, so i'll be getting the normal version.
 
I hope all this EA marketing rubbish doesn't affect the game itself too much. I have visions of a little EA marketing demon popping into existence on my character's shoulder, asking me if I want to buy better armour every time I loose a battle.
 
So am I right in thinking that the GAME version will have everything that the Steam one will, plus the extra 3 Items, or will it have the extra 3 items excluding the ones available on Steam?

Have to say I hate this exclusivity crap which has no benefit for the consumer. Essentially the target audience for games is now the retailer.

and I bet you would have to pay extra if you wanted to get rid of the demon. To which they would replace it with a little Angel :p

Almost.
The GAME Version comes with the extra items that where stripped form the Digital Edition, BUT it doesnt have Wardens Keep or the Steam Exclusive ring.
Its also missing the TIN and cloth map that every other bloody country is getting.

Essentialy its lose, lose if your a brit.
Everyone else is now laugthing at us because they get the Digital version on STEAM, with ALL the items and DLC for less. :rolleyes:

I take this as Digital Deluxe for UK will remain untouched from the EA Store. (i.e. 3 bonus items still included)
 
It is messed up distribution... but Steam, amazingly, appears to harbour the best deal, as you get bonus items and DLC in BOTH editions, at only £5 more for the normal edition that other online stores, where the normal edition contains no bonus gear.
 
What are the items you miss out on with the Steam version btw? I'm leaning towards it (I buy everything on Steam anyway) but will be really narked if I miss out on something good.

First DRM and now this crap. Are they trying to push people into piracy? It seems the legitamate user is always the one to suffer.
 
You lose the following:
Bergen's Honor, Final Reason and The Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes.

The Grimoire arguably being the best item there as it gives you +3 to ALL stats, which is just bonkers.
 
You don't "miss out" on any, you just get different items for each retailer. Steam has one item you can't get anywhere else, it's a steam exclusive, just as the rainforest one has an exclusive item you can't get anywhere else.

I'm not sure what people are confused about.

I don't see how it's making a legitimate user suffer at all.

Wrong, you get Grimoire on Steam, and you don't get the Rogue Ring at other retailers, only Steam. Although yes, you dont get Bergens.
