Liking the look of Spec-Ops mode

Oooh the shower setting in the spec ops mode is very reminiscent of the scene in The Rock

It's not a rumour anymore as fourzerotwo just confirmed it on bash webcast. There will be no dedicated server support. This means no mods, no maps and no competitive play. Really thinking of cancelling my preorder now.

well, the game I was looking forward to most, and building my PC in time for - I'm no longer getting then. No dedicated servers = not worth the time.
 
Ill still get it. Its an annoying change but its not enough to make me miss out on the sure to be stunning single player expierience...and im sure the multiplayer wont suffer much. Or at least not as much as some would think...

Storm in a tea cup tbh.

wow. From being so eager to play this, now I could care less. I have had my fair share of playing on dodgy p2p servers. Never again.

Looks like its just l4d2 and me this winter.

Are you sure they aren't talking bout the consoles or coop?

AS no dedi servers would be suicide.
 
I am in total shock about this news, as a member of an active CoD4/WaW clan i feel i need to wear a black armband, this truly is a shocking blow to PC gaming - and further proof if needed, that "console" mentality is going to kill PC gaming.
How does the "piracy" claim back up this move? the majority of active online players of CoD4 are surely the competative clans (most players i see online are wearing clan tags), who due to having to register GUID's to be able to play in any leagues are all using genuine copys of the game, so why fail the people who have stood by the product and bought the game? simple, money.
Well, they are not having anymore of mine, if MW2 is not up to delivering a class leading online/clan game as per CoD4 i shall not be buying it, end of.

except no dedi servers = no mp for most people so that means no reason to buy it when you can pirate it.
